Jarrett Stewart joins NBM:
It was announced that Jarrett Stewart has joined NBM for the Nationwide Series schedule. He will drive the #4 Oreo/Ritz Chevy Impala.

"Well, I was backed into the corner by Jarrett and he demanded that I should let him race on my team, and low and behold, he got the job."

Part-time effort possible for Baker:
Sources close to Nick Baker say that it could be possible that Baker will sit out a lot of races for the Nationwide Series due to problems surfacing around. The sources also say that it could be possible Jordan Hyland will take over the 9 team will Nick Baker will drive a tbd number for his part time gig. Sponsors would remain the same for the 9 team either way, the 2nd team currently has no sponsors.

Jordan Hyland does indeed have a ride for NBM, just nothing has been announced yet.

Baker says he will be in the #9 at Daytona, Hyland in the 91:
Nick Baker reassured the media that he would be in the 9 car at Daytona tonight and Jordan Hyland will be in the 91 car. He said there are currently no plans on what will happen next week, but he says somethings are going on that he has to address before he can do anything else.

Disappointing start for Baker at Daytona:
Finishing 12th at Daytona turned out to be disappointing for Baker as he wanted better. "By the end of the race we just fricken sucked ass. We had gotten wrecked early on in the race due to stupidity on the track and of course I am the one who ends up slamming into the wall. You know, my luck has been so shitty for so long, it's getting old. You'd think staying back will help, but nope. Doubt there will be a next week, I don't feel like racing on a dirt track at all."

Hyland Unsure About Debut
When asked when he was gonna make his debut in the series, Hyland said he was aiming for mid-October. "I have a lot of prior commitments, and if Baker has a problem with that, I'll slap a hoe." Hyland later said he will more than likely be racing full time by November 7th.

Baker scores 9th at Canaan:
In what appeared to be a pretty uneventful race for Nick Baker, he earned his first top 10 of the season by finishing 8th at Canaan Fair Speedway. The 9th place effort was one-hundredth of a second off of an 8th place finish, but Caleb Paul beat the #9 car to the line. The 9th place finish moved Baker up to 15th in points and he hopes to keep going up the standings until the end of the season.

"Right now the #9 team is committed to run the full season with me being the driver. Tonight's effort was a gain as we were able to keep up with some guys on the long run despite being tight, I think I learned a little in the race, too. I made some adjustments during the race that helped me out a lot. It was a good effort and we got a solid finish. Hopefully next week we can make more progress."

UPDATE: Baker says his current plan is to run the full season. But he might change his plans after race #5 depending on how things look for the season.

Baker forced to S&P at Pikes Peak:
After learning that Target was refusing to pay Nick Baker before even running a race on the car, Baker was forced to start and park at Pikes Peak due to lack of funding. Baker said a lawsuit on Target would be filed ASAP for breach of contract. After the race, Baker said that he will not be having Target on the car anymore.

"Even though we had eveything there, we had to start and park tonight because we didn't have any tires other than the set we ran. I was planning on running using one set of tires the whole race, but we were forced to come to pit road early after a loose wheel. After getting back on the track, after a little while we spun out and just decided to park it there because we didn't have any tires to replace those. It sucks, but we are trying to line up some new sponsors or a new sponsor to take over the races that [Target] was supposed to sponsor."

Things quickly falling apart for NBM:
Just after it was announced that Target was leaving NBMotorsports' #9 team, Baker's Crew Chief Steve decided to quit after the race. Nick Baker was extremely upset about something in his interview.

"Guess he decided that Jennifer Jo Cobb was a better driver, I can't believe this. Target leaves, Steve leaves. Guess it's not a good day for NBM. [Expletive], I don't even know if we have enough funds to run next week, either. Target was supposed to sponsor next week, too."

My S&P story and Target leaving is my way of saying I'm sticking to admining for this series. Crew Chief Steve leaving was an added bonus.

(Not enough "cookie cutters" for me to race this one Razz)

Baker to run tribute car at Talladega:
On Monday, October 24th, Nick Baker will run a black tribute car in honor of his grandfather, who passed away on March 1, 2011. His 81st birthday would have been a week later on October 31.

(Also, I will not be here on October 31, I will be at my grandmother's house for a family gathering.)

Talladega is now in 2 weeks, we push Southside back a week due to Dan Wheldon's passing.
