| I'll just put this in the big thread. A quake measuring between 8.6-8.9 has hit India in the 3 last hours. Luckily there doesnt seem to be a whole of damage as it appears that the tsunami risk is small. There as been a report of a 5 meter tsunami, but not much damage so far.
This is the same area that had the 9.2 earthquake a few years ago.
It APPEARS the worst of this behind without being comparatively bad, but this always makes me think about if it put any pressure on any other plates.

| Also, if we really wanna go back in history for conspiracies..I guess this is a popular time for this one. I've just seen a documentary talking about the titanic. It seems to put forward a convincing argument that the titanic is not the ship that sank. The company that ran the Titanic had 2 ships. Nearly identical. One was the Olympic, one was the titanic. The olympic had suffered damage prior to the titanic leaving.
The theory is they loosely patched the Olympic back together, and swapped names/numbers on the Titanic and Olympic ships. Basically it all boils down to a gigantic case of insurance fraud if something happened to the titanic. It is interesting though, because on a location where the name of the ship would go in the wreckage underwater..You see the letters in the middle of a word "MP."
This stuff is interesting to think about.

This stuff is interesting to think about. The company that ran the Titanic, the White Star Line, actually made 3 large ships. The first one was the Olympic, which is why the other two were also called Olympic-class. The Olympic was actually on the way to SAVE the Titanic. They got the distress call and had headed to the rescue, but the Carpathia sent them a message that they had already got everyone. They were so close, I don't see why to switch the actual ships. Plus, the sinking of the Titanic pretty much ruined their reputation. The Olympic lived a long life. HOWEVER, the Olympic DID lose a propeller blade the month before the Titanic set sail, and the replacement blade DID come from the Titanic. The transfer of the propeller blade actually delayed the Titanic's launch from March 20th, 1912 to April 10th, 1912. The youngest of the 3 sister ships, the Brittanic, was requisitioned by the British government as a hospital ship during World War 1.
