Entering its fourth year in competition, FUll Throttle Racing is stronger than ever and ready to win it all. Founder and co-founder Adam Codol and Brian Wallace will continue driving the #10 and #33 Chevrolet's, carrying primary sponsors such as Pepsi, Nike, Dunkin Donuts, etc. Joining FTR for the second time during its existence is NR2003 legend Nick Baker. "I have strong faith in Nick Baker to win multiple races and even take home the championship," Said Brian in an interview with ESPN, "I wouldnt have hired him if i didnt think this. He has been strong, and judging by our cooperation with him at Talladega, it should be a great season." Baker is also bringing his own sponsorship to the team which include, but are not limted to, Stanley, Valvoline, and Dollar General. Nick Baker isnt the only "semi-new" addition to FTR for 2012, Tyler Ellery will enter his first full Proline season since 2010 driving the #20 Impala. He will bring Mike's Hard Lemonade to the team. FTR is very excited for the upcoming season and hopes to capture many wins throughout the season and be strong contenders in the chase.

Paint Schemes will be posted shortly.

Nick Baker talks about opportunity with FTR:
Nick Baker was seen around the FTR shop today by some media members and he took the time to talk about his hopes and expectations for the upcoming season:

"The guys here are really excited for this season, with Adam and Brian running this team for a while now, they feel like this could be dream season for FTR with everything that's going on. I feel like we can get a lot of things done this season and I've worked well with all three of my new teammates before. I really expect a good run towards the championship this season, better than last season, even. I am hoping for my first multiple win season in Proline and I feel like this is the year I can do it. FTR has great equipment, great teamwork, and the atmosphere is very overwhelming! All of us have high expectations, and with what we have here, we should easily fill those expectations. I have to thank both Brian and Adam for sort of taking me under their wing after two frustrating seasons in Proline, they've helped me pick my confidence up a bit and I'm really pumped to get this season rolling at Daytona!"

FTR locks in 3 for Coors Shootout:
Three of the four Full Throttle Racing teams will have a chance to win the unofficial start to the season tonight at Daytona. Adam Codol, Brian Wallace, and Nick Baker are all locked in base upon last season. During testing, Baker and Brian were among the fastest cars for the race and both are very confident in what they can do. Tyler Ellery, who is always fast when he shows up for races, will have to earn his way into the Shootout tonight, though.

Nick Baker gets pole for Daytona 500:
In his first start back with Full Throttle Racing, Nick Baker grabbed the pole for the Daytona 500 by .002 seconds over Brandon Lambert. Brian Wallace won the Solstice Daytona Qualifying race to secure the 3rd place starting spot, where coincidentally he qualified, just missing the front row.

Adam Codol and Tyler Ellery will start the race from the back of the field in tomorrow's 500.

Nick Baker wins the Daytona 500:
Nick Baker proved all of Speedweeks that he had a fast #9 Dollar General Chevy for the Daytona 500, all of the hard work and preparation ended with Nick Baker winning his first race back with FTR, leading a race-high 29 laps and taking the lead on the final restart of the night during the "green-white checkered". Nick Baker picked up the pole for the Daytona 500 by .002 over fellow Team Chevy driver Brandon Lambert. Nick Baker quickly got to the lead at the start of the race with help from teammate Brian Wallace and later would be joined by Adam Codol and Tyler Ellery as the quartet would stay in line and work together on the high line for the first run leading up to the first set of green flag pit stops. After penalties broke up the team for Adam and Brian, Nick Baker was able to find new drafting partners for the rest of the first run, keeping in the top 5 for much of the run. In the final laps, Nick Baker and the FTR team all took the time to make a pit stop to add grill tape to help reduce their drag and add speed. After another caution, leading to the GWC, Nick Baker found himself sitting in 2nd place the only person in the front with a lot of grill tape. He would go on to lead the final two laps to take home his second Daytona 500 win.

"It's great to come out to Daytona, run fast all week, grab my first superspeedway pole for the Proline Series, and show that this team is ready to go for a championship. Teamwork was the key to getting that win, even with not having any teammates around me at the end, the calls by Adam ended up helping me with some luck with missing wrecks. I knew I was in good position at the end with my grill tape being higher than everyone else around me, and on the restart I just took off and never looked back. I was worried when I got out a bit far, then a couple of things happened that caused Jake not to be able to get near me to try to make a move. This win means a lot more to me than the win back in season 2, that was more luck, this one was more setup and strategy."

Unexpecting news coming from the FTR confrence room:

Shortly after the Daytona 500k at Daytona International Speedway, Adam Codol, driver of the #33 M&M's Chevy, will be forced to resign from his record tying 20th straight full time season in Cup series events. Some unexpected changes were made the day before the race involving his educational run. "Its sad i have to end my full time career run going to 3 races into this season, but with the way my school schedule is now I will not be available on Thursday nights. My sponsors and number will still remain, as some nights i will have off. I wish the best of luck towards my teammates, especially after that amazing FTR run at Daytona and with Nick Baker's win, and i hope to keep my career going in the lower Nationwide and Truck series which i will now be shifting over there to go full time."

Baker talks about expectations for the rest of the season:
After earning his third straight top 10 to start off the season, Nick Baker says expect a lot of good things to come from this #9 FTR team.

"We've been on the verge of having some great success for a while now, obviously winning Daytona was huge for not only myself, but for the whole FTR team. It showed at Phoenix where FTR appeared to have the fastest cars even all of us being in the top 5 at points in the race. As a driver, I haven't been too excited about my results since Daytona, but I know that I've gotten every point I could towards being in the chase with what happened at Phoenix for me with our spark plugs failing causing me to go 14 laps down and Watkins Glen where the driver wasn't as good as the setup. Season 3 of Proline was one of the toughest seasons I had gone through, I look at that as the learning year for me trying to figure out setups and what's fast and what's not fast. Last season was the 'experiment' year where I tried different things and made it through that season way better than season 3. I look at this season as the year where I put everything together and do my best to get into the chase and win that championship. We have fast cars, I'd like to think of myself as a solid driver, and this could be my best year yet! It's now in my hands what happens, it's time to get track position early, not make the moves I need to make to get up to the front and contend for wins."

Last years Solstice Pole Award winner at Pikes Peak will have a new look for this season's race in the Rockies. Hendrickcars.com will return as a sponsor of a Full Throttle Racing car this time with the reigning Daytona 500 winner, Nick Baker.

Strong 2nd place effort for Baker at Texas:
In what turned out to be Nick Baker's best race overall since winning the Daytona 500, Baker took to Texas with a strong effort along with some up and downs. The #9 Dollar General Chevy looked fast most of the night after starting 2nd in the race, but there were a few times when he restarted towards the back, but he made it back to the front each time. After losing first gear in the early part of the race, the only struggle Baker had was getting up to speed as fast as everyone else in the race, but it also helped him out as he never spun his tires on the restarts. It ultimately lost him the race though as he was the leader on the final restart, but lost it going into turn one after eventual winner Brandon Lambert took the lead for the final time. The final run lasted a while and the field kept getting spread out, but Baker was keeping up and even catching Lambert on the final few laps, but didn't have enough to get the win.

"It was a great effort for our guys tonight, we hit on a good setup for qualifying, wasn't enough for the pole, but we had a good car on the long runs, something we lacked here last season. Losing 1st gear was a bittersweet deal, but I think it helped more than it hurt, despite it probably being the reason we lost it, but 2nd is a great effort considering."

Baker ready to step it up in Chase:
After winning the Daytona 500, it was smooth sailing for Nick Baker towards the chase as fields for the Proline Cup Series have been pretty low for much of the season. As teams gear up for the Chase opener at Talladega, Baker heads into the track as the defending winner and on a 2 win streak at the Superspeedway tracks of Talladega and Daytona.

"Talladega last season and Daytona this season were great wins and showed how great the teamwork at FTR is, I wasn't at FTR when I won Dega, but Brian and Adam both helped me out a lot that race, both races FTR had amazing cars and deserved to sweep the top 3 spots. I hope to help them out this time and push one of them to the win, instead of me being pushed. I'm looking forward to the Chase for sure, I think I'm ready and competitive enough to go out and give it my all to go for this championship, haven't won any, yet, but I think this could be the season I do it. Very happy with everything going on right now, coming off my best run at Richmond in a while, and heading towards some strong tracks for me down the stretch here. Concerned about Infineon mostly, but if I can keep it on the track and run my race, I could finish that pretty well like at Watkins Glen. Martinsville will be tough, I have some searching around to do there, but I think we can do good there. Everything else is of no concern for me, though."
