2010 Rulebook

Saturday Nights at 11:30 PM ET

Alright fellas, these are some pretty simple rules.

GUIDELINES FOR A HOST:

If you are hosting a game you must follow these guidelines, if not you will get suspended unless word is given from a admin.

We will have 6 minute quarters in every game, all that are on ALL PRO. not rookie.
It must be the 2010 Roster which you can find here. Make sure you extract it to your C:\Users\Caleb\Documents\Madden NFL 08\Rosters folder.

Make sure you also are using the correct teams for the league. And also make sure you follow the schedule that Auz posted.

ALSO, make sure you post your IP for your server in the NFL Weekly thread.

RULES FOR PLAYING:

These are just a couple of simple rules to keep from people racking up points.

There are no onside kicks allowed till the 2 minute waring in the 1st or 2nd half.

Must do a normal kickoff at a start of a game.

Everything else is open, including custom playbooks.

HOSTS RESPONSIBILITY'S:

Make sure you enforce the rules for the guy your going against and yourself. The rules are very simple, so I hope people follow them.

Please come back to the weekly football thread with the correct score on who won the game. Along with the other player you went against with confirming its the correct score.

If you are interested in joining this but don't have the game, PM me.

If someone cannot make a game with someone else, the game will be re scheduled sometime Sunday, or within the next week.

I was going to suggest some sportsmanship rules. Like you've already stated about onside kicks. That seems pretty good. We don't need to be doing squib kicks on every kickoff.

Also if you're up by 20 points with 2 minutes left in the game there's no reason to throw a hail mary pass and then go for two. It's just unnecessary.

Maybe if it's at the end of a tight game, if you have plenty of open field and you run along the goal line to kill time before running into the endzone that would be fine. But again, you don't need to do it in a 20 point game with 4 minutes left. You aren't going to kill that much time.

I want to suggest trades and other things like that. Rather then just make it playing. Lets meake it where you can build a team or screw one up based of your decisions. Ex: Trades and Free Agents.

Or We can have a Fantasy Draft.

I think this would make things funner.

I agree about the sportsmanship stuff Sherm, kinda hard to make it 100* mandatory on that stuff though, But I'll monitor it. And Johnathan, that would get way to confusing, plus the fact that everyone would need new rosters. Just wouldn't work well.

Yea, I'm not saying we need written rules regarding it. Just a gentleman's agreement of sorts.

with the onside kick thing i think the rule should be changed, so if your down in the 4th quarter you can do one because there could be like 2:30 left and you need the ball back and not just doing it to be a dick you shouldn't be allowed if you ahead.

Why do you guys make a league out of everything?

uh.. It's just a thing for fun Brian. lol Not to be real serious about it. We just thought it would be fun to try out a season of it. And if it doesn't turn out well, well then it doesn't. lol If it does, it does.

aren't football rulebooks supposed to have "PLAYOFFS?" in them?
