2012 Paint Schemes

NASCAR and its teams want to commemorate the passing of Dale Earnhardt with a "where were you when Dale died?" campaign. Many sponsors will be using 2001 paint schemes as a way to commemorate this event that was very important in our history. I had a special opportunity to see the #13 GEICO Chevrolet that Germain Racing have designed for Casey Mears to run at the Daytona 500. It is a throwback paint scheme to an old livery GEICO used to run in the Winston Cup era of 2001.



Understated yet profound, and the message is clear.

Potential new scheme for the 2, but this is the "censored" version of it:

The 22 with the black trim is a one race deal for Las Vegas next year. The scheme from this year remains the same.

The 48 doesn't look bad, it just makes no sense. How does a racing stripe correlate with Lowes?

Exactly what I was thinking. It's a nice and simple scheme, it's different than what he's run in the past, but it just doesn't scream "Lowe's Home Improvement" to me.

maybe Lowe's is changing its color scheme, like walmart did a couple years ago
