| I thought we could use a place to talk about upcoming releases, random music facts and stuff. Assuming you don't want this to be filled with Katy Perry, contributing seems reasonable.
Top 10 Songs Since 2000 (In terms of sales)
1 Hips Don't Lie by Shakira 2 Crazy In Love by Beyonce 3 My Humps by The Black Eyed Peas 4 Toxic by Britney Spears 5 Womanizer by Britney Spears 6 Oops I did it Again by Britney Spears 7 Stan by Eminem 8 Low by Flow Rida 9 Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day 10 I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry
Katy Perry's 9 singles have gone Platinum 25 times in the United States.
I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry went Platinum 7 times in Canada.
Also, Katy Perry is releasing a 6th single from her album Teenage Dream. The first five were all #1 songs. If "The One That Got Away" can hit #1, she will be the first person to have 6 #1 songs off of 1 album.
She is also the only artist in Billboard history to have had a song in the top 10 for 52 consecutive weeks and counting. That's longer than 1 year.

| SUPER DUPER BUMP!!111!
To talk about music. Lol. You guys know the song from the Internet Explored 9 commercials, "Too Close" by Alex Clare? Well it just hit #10 on the US charts. His debut album was so disappointing he got dropped by his label, but they had to resign him to a distribution agreement when it started to chart in the U.S. So basically his career was saved by Internet Explorer. Lol.

| I don't think I need to post my favorite band, as I think everyone knows who it is lmao... but for everything else:
-pretty much any bands (or artists) from the 70's that made "classic hits" (U2 is hit or miss, same with The Police) -REM (being from Georgia, despite Athens at that, helps that out) -RHCP -3 Doors Down -Foo Fighters (used to be underrated on my favorites list, but definitely in the top 5-8 now) -Linkin Park (The older stuff, but not the really "hard" stuff, but not like the really soft stuff) -The Fray -Shinedown (started liking them because of "If You Only Knew" then found out they covered "Simple Man" and then more and more of their songs) -The Black Keys (Have to thank Caleb for this one lol Tighten Up and Little Black Submarines are my top favorite songs of theirs, though)
Just to name a few...
Favorite songs: 1. Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd (Hadn't heard this song in years, but when I heard it play a few years back I knew it by heart. Turns out when I was a baby, my mom played it for me all the time. Instantly jumped to the top of my favorite songs list.) 2. Turn The Page - Bob Seger (Not quite sure why I like this one so much, but damn I love it lol) 3. Here Without You - 3 Doors Down (Pretty much sums up my feelings since early high school, plus it's a great sounding song) 4. If You Only Knew - Shinedown (Sorta the same thing as Here Without You, but just without the fact that it's a break-up song and I've never dated...) 5. Piano Man - Billy Joel (My mom is/was a huge Billy Joel fan and this song is my favorite from his because of how awesome it sounds.)
Just the top 5, those are always the constant favorites, but 6-10 always changes lol

| I also enjoy a bit of Brodequin's "history of torture" lessons they use in their Slam songs. Reasons as to why I like the top 4 bands I listed. Mudvayne - First heard their song 'Dig' and instantly fell in love with their heaviness. They show a lot of meaning behind their songs, saying that you have to be yourself and not to let others tell you how to live your life and all that. 'Dig', 'Death Blooms', and 'Not Falling' are a few of my favorites. Cattle Decapitation - Actually started listening to them on their new album 'Monolith of Inhumanity', which is my favorite out of them all. Very vegetarian (although I am not vegetarian) in their beliefs, with very "colorful" lyrics being against animal herding and abuse. 'Lifestalker', 'Regret & The Grave', and 'A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat' are my favorites. Inhuman Dissiliency - First band I started listening to when I got into the "Slamming Metal" genre. I really like them, they have very unique vocal noises, and they have some of the best, not the fastest, drumming in metal. They also have a tendency to hit very hard (harder than ANY rap song that I've heard) with their bass at least once in all of their songs, which I love, especially rolling through the hood. 'Succumbed by Dissolution', 'Entangled in Abdominal Viscera', and 'Baby Killer' are my favorites. Digested Flesh - I first heard this band after listening to the split track they did with Inhuman Dissiliency. Started with 'Spinal Cord Reconstruction' and then I found their album 'The Answer to Infection'. Fell in love with the song 'Splatter Pattern' and its complex tom drum beats. Favorites are 'Splatter Pattern', 'Intestinal Ejaculation', and the title track to 'The Answer to Infection'. | |

| Mine is pretty much this (in no real order):
Foo Fighters Linkin Park Hollywood Undead Rage Against the Machine Beastie Boys (with a little bit of love for Anthrax too, seeing as they started rap rock) Soundgarden Bush Rise Against Snow Patrol Killswitch Engage
Pretty much encompassing rock sans heavy metal.

| Didn't say that they were. They're normally classified as Metalcore I think.. Not sure.. Heavy metal is more like Lamb of God, Chimaira, or Slayer. With some others. | |

| You know what? I've tried coexisting with you, but apparently you're just too stupid to do that, and I can't hold my tongue anymore.. So, why don't you use your common sense or that big Asian brain of yours and realize that a lot of people around here think that your an ass. Maybe, just maybe, you'll stop being an annoying prick who thinks that he's better than everyone. Because I can tell you that you're not. Just because you go to college and think you know everything doesn't make you more of a man than anyone here. So shut up with your nonsense and bullshit. | |
