I feel bad for McDowell. He gets a shot with a top notch team, yet between getting the call Saturday morning and Gibbs sucking this weekend period, the stats say he sucked ass. As if he had a bad enough label, now people are going to judge him simply based on the paper rather than how much he likely tried to give them a good run.
When he missed pitroad, he was getting in hot but he could've made it if he wanted to. I have feeling he saw Hamlin in front of him and decided to hurt their already struggling day rather than POSSIBLY hit the 11. Smart decision on his part, but again will be seen by others as a "stupid mistake" when he was really just trying to prevent anything from happening.
