| Driver lineup: #31 Austin Grams #66 David Krikorian #76 Jack Stroski #93 Joshua Chin JR Motorsports signs new driver, possible contract extension for Krikorian?JR Motorsports has signed driver Jack Stroski to compete in the Proline Cup series for the remainder of the season. Stroski, a full time APRS league racer has ventured over into Solstice Racing and earlier this season in the Retro Cup race at Watkins Glen he showed what talent he has. Finishing 2nd to Jordan Robson in a classic battle at the Glen. From then Robson noticed his talent. Stroski has dominated races over at APRS and now enters a new challenge. Winning in Solstice. Robson may bring him over to JRM for the Nationwide series as well but that is yet to be determined. What is determined is that Stroski is a force to be reckoned with and will be for a long time. Jack ran his first COT race last week in Richmond and was fast all night long but was caught up in a lap 23 incident that involved owner Jordan Robson being spun around. The car was damaged beyond repair after the incident. However next week Stroski and the 76 team look to break through in Darlington.. And one things for sure JR Motorsports is glad to have such a talent on the team. It was also announced that JR Motorsports would likely enter contract negotiations to have former Proline COT Champion David Krikorian run for the team for another season. Krikorian has run 6 races and has racked up 4 top 10's and a pole. DK has not had the same amount of success as he is use to having over here at Solstice but next year promises to be a better season.

| signs driver Josh Chin for remainder of 2011 season. It was just announced that JR Motorsports has signed driver Josh Chin to a 6 race contract. Chin will run for JRM beginning in the chase race at Darlington. Chin will bring his sponsor C2C Racing Designs over as well. It is yet to be determined if Chin will run for JRM next season. Owner Jordan Robson had this to say about the major signing. "Everyone knows Chin is a good driver. Its going to be great having him on this team. We have alot of great things going on for the future. I've never really had the opportunity to work with Chin all that much but I figure we could make a pretty good team. We'll see how it goes." Update, JR Motorsports has signed yet ANOTHER driver. Austin 'Auz' Grams has signed with JR Motorsports to also run the a few Proline COT chase races. Grams began his Solstice Racing career racing with JR Motorsports and ran a total of 3 years for the team in all. "To have Auz back on the team, even if its just for 5 or 6 races is great. We started this thing for guys like Auz, Stephen Black and its great to have him back. We had a bit of a fall out earlier this year and he went and looked for other rides but I think it will be great having him return. Hopefully we can work something out for next season as well. All I know it is great to have these new drivers and sponsors come aboard. We weren't but a few days from shutting the entire shop down earlier this year. Its great to see this team being revived."Grams will race the #31 U.S Army Chevrolet. 31agrams by JRobson9, on Flickr | |
