After winning its 3rd championship in 4 seasons with 3 different drivers, Solstice Racing is going at it again with all of its guns. Solstice Racing will feild 5 Cars this season including Former Champions Jake Poulin and Jordan Robson. Team owner Caleb Paul is still undecided if he wants to compete for the championship or not either way he will still be competing in some races this season. Solstice Racing welcomes Keith Sherman to the team, Sherm will be competing full-time? in season 5 and make a run for the title. Solstice Racing has also picked up driver Dan Mackay to run the superspeedway races and possibly a few more. The chase for the championship will surely have to go through solstice racing once again this season.

As the teams roll into Daytona for the beginning of Speedweeks, one driver in particular, looks to make an impact. Driver #15 Keith Sherman after a hiatus last season returned for the final few races. He is now slated for a full time schedule in the cup series, with new sponsor Royal Purple on the car.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back into the full swing of things. I'm excited, I haven't won in a while, I'd like to change that."

Sherman, however, is not yet qualified for tonight's Shootout. He will join a field of approximately 5 others to fight for the top two spots to try and race his way into the big show.

Caleb Paul hopes to make the shootout tonight if he can make it down in time to race. If he does, he will pilot the brand new #6 King Soopers Chevrolet and try to contend for his 5th Daytona Shootout win.

"I'm hopefully going to make it tonight, but I'm not too sure if something will come up either before, during or after the race. But hopefully everything goes smooth to kick off the new season."
