Jordan Robson to join Melling Baker Racing:
Jordan Robson will drive for Melling Baker Racing with Coors Light sponsoring his Ford Thunderbird. Robson will sport a similar scheme that Nick Baker runs in the #9, but the colors will be blue, red, and white. "It's cool to have Robson wanting to drive again for our team as we set up for season 3. The scheme looks awesome and I know Robson is excited to race it. The MBR trio will have some fun this season as Flournoy will drive his #87 with our team again."

Mac Tools and Baby Ruth sign on as sponsors for Flournoy; Mac Tools also will sponsor Robson:
Melling Baker Racing owner Nick Baker announced today that Mac Tools and Baby Ruth will split time on the #87 Ford Thunderbird driven by Jon Flournoy. Mac Tools also mentioned that it will sponsor Jordan Robson for a few races, too. Mac Tools will be an associate sponsor on every MBR car also. "We are happy that sponsors are being picked up for Jon and for Robson also. We look at this series as a fun classic series and it should be a good one, no doubt. We all look forward to racing in these cars and our sponsors definitely help us there. Mac Tools has been a sponsor for my team for a while through their owner of Stanley Tools and since this is a throwback series, we have Mac Tools on the car because they were around back in the 80s. We look forward to this season and hope this series stays around for a long time to come."

Nick Baker returns to series at Bristol:
After a long time, Nick Baker returned to the Solstice Retro Series to race and had a great run. Nick Baker hadn't raced anywhere in over a month, but he returned with power as he set some fast laps in practice and qualifying. Baker qualified 2nd for the race behind Brian Wallace. Nick Baker had a great start and pulled the field around for about 5 laps before Josh Chin caught up and passed him. Nick Baker used a lot of pit strategy to lead quite a few laps all race. "The #9 Motorcraft Ford Thunderbird was awesome last night. I had a great run going, possibly a top 5 going until my car started acting weird towards the end allowing a few guys to pass me before the checkered flag. It was a very fun race and I'm glad I decided to return here, it was a great race and everyone was driving smart all night."

When asked if he was going to return full time, Baker replied: "I'm not quite sure yet, I might do that, or I might just run select races here and there, ones that I would have the best chances of winning based on my driving style. One race you will see me at will be the season finale at Atlanta. We had a great run in the first race there earlier this season. I haven't really looked at the schedule in a long time, so I will take a look and then decide what I will do later."
