Only one suspect in custody. They have sent a helicopter to scan an area where they found the stolen police cruiser. Reports of devices being found everywhere...This is the craziest thing I've ever listened to. Sounds exactly like a movie.

EDIT: One device thrown at the police was a pressure cooker bomb.


EDIT2: Police busting into an apartment on the 2nd floor of an apartment for possible movement seen inside.

15 Shots Fired on Mt. Auburn/Auberdeen St.

There is seemingly reports of shots being fired from multiple places. This sounds like more than 2 people. Also reports of a black nissan murano with no registration speeding away.

Many news outlets are saying one is a bomber, many are saying he isn't. Live police scanner is saying that cops are now looking for a driver of a white truck, that with a flat tire almost ran over a pedestrian. Live police scanner has said nothing of a second suspect arrested that teh news media is talking about. The descriptions given of the second suspect are totally different. It sounds to me like we may be dealing with more than 2 people though.


Now they are saying 1 suspect was killed in a shootout during the police chase, another subject is video'd on the scene being interviewed by FBI who looks like one of the bombers. They are chasing after atleast one other person. School buses being brought in to evacuate houses. Devices being found possibly in or around homes.


They have begun using military vehicles and clearing streets of residents

The first suspect is dead, he had an explosive device strapped to him. They are still searching for the 2nd one. The naked man was allowed to reclothe himself and go home.

Here is a recap on all the events, so as to stop the confusion:

1. MIT police officer shot dead
2. Police respond to MIT shooting, suspects still at large
3. Unconfirmed reports of explosion at MIT, by ATS member on skype with friend at scene. !!!unconfirmed!!!
4. Male carjacked at gunpoint in black mercedes, by two, "short" middle eastern men, who held him hostage for half hour, whilst driving around
5. Middle Eastern Males talked about going to New York City, before they released the carjacking victim, who rang police
6. Car spotted at a Gas Station, where suspects sped off at speed
7. Police pursuit of vehicle
8. Suspects fire and throw "explosives" at police from Mercedes
9. Something happens (unclear) and suspects ditch Mercedes and make off in State Police SUV
10. Officer heard screaming on scanner that suspects were throwing explosives at him (lots of gunfire heard in background)
11. Suspects leave SUV and gain control over a black Camaro somehow (unclear as to how)
12. Suspects leave Camaro in Watertown on foot
13. One suspect shot and transported to MG hospital
14. 2nd suspect evades police
15. Police locate him, but are called off by OC, due to explosive packages strew in different places "Retreat retreat" was heard over the scanner
16. Police corner a suspect (white male shown on news pictures), and make him lie on the ground and strip
17. White male was just caught in the whole situation and is freed
18. 2nd Suspect still remains at large.


This is the most incredible news night I've ever heard. I dont think theres been more than 5 minutes without some peice of news breaking.


People are reporting absolutely everything they are seeing. Every couple minutes theres reports of a noise or a strange person. Hasnt turned up anything yet.

All businesses in Wtertown/Cambridge and other areas must remain closed. Residents not allowed to leave their homes.



Um...WCVB-TV reports that White House believes suspects are connected with Russian/Chechnya groups.


They are brothers from Chechnya.

The suspect wanted for the bombing goes to my university. This got real fucking close real fucking fast

News is still flying in. Its pretty amazing that every single person that guys is basically coming forward and saying there is no way he could have done that...To plan something on this scale...To get out of the situations they were in...They had to have some training. Some experience. It takes time to set this stuff together. It really stinks of something here.

So how did this kid go from loved by teachers, family, friends. High grades, went out of his way to helped people, volunteered helping disabled kids, always helped outo people in his community, to trained militant killing as many people as he can in a short period of time..Reeks bigtime.

The father is claiming that these guys were innocent, and said if they are killed "all hell would break loose"

Im not seeing it now, but supposedly a man in his 50s was arrested for having a "dead mans switch". a vest, a device, and a trigger. He was also placing bags in places.


Im gonna say it now..If these 2 guys are involved...Theres many more..After hearing all I heard last night, I wouldnt be surprised if theres 10 other people involved.

His Aunt is on CNN..She is owning the news media. Says the youtube voices of their sons are fake, and the voices arent their voices. She says they are set up. She just claimed on live tv that this whole thing is bullshit.

Its pretty clear they are looking at more than these 2 now.

The Father now is saying that the sons were framed. The police are framing them. "Whoever did that is a bastard" "There are cops like that"

Somebody on 4chan made this post about 20-30 minutes ago. A few minutes after he posted that the police scanner came over with reports of an unknown person trying to gain access to the scene lmao.

SUSPECT #2 IN CUSTODY AND ALIVE according to Boston police scanners.
