Just keep Proline normal like we've been doing.

The Future of the Series Empty
PostSubject: The Future of the Series   The Future of the Series EmptySat Sep 29, 2012 7:45 am

Spoiler:

We all know things have been slow lately, our good fields have seemingly flipped a switch and it looks like we may only be able to run 1 series. I am going to propose a "spice up" to the Proline series, we've been doing the same thing for 6 seasons now, maybe it's time to change things up a little bit and give a sense of newness and fun to the series.

Proposal 1: Proline Season 6.5(winter schedule)

Like a brought up before, odball tracks that would fill the "offseason" time between December and speedweeks. Fun would be the main aspect of this series. this would be the only series we would run during this time and "maybe" we could start up normal series' again in february; a cup schedule? trucks? or something else.

Possible Schedule:

11/29/12- Five Flags Speedway
12/06/12- Lucus Oil Raceway
12/13/12- Bent Twig
12/20/12- Michigan Winter
12/27/12- Daytona Snow
01/03/13- Trenton Speedway
01/10/13- Homestead Road Course
01/17/13- Talladega No Plates
01/24/13- Daytona Road Course
01/31/13- Atlanta Motor Speedway '97

Proposal 2: Retro 2007 Series for Proline Season 7

Chin brought up this idea a while ago, a couple other people caught onto the idea and I thought it would be a cool to do as well. We would run this with 3 different mods; NNC07- for intermediates, SS.net COT- for short/mile tracks, and GNS_CTS for Daytona and Talladega. we could also use the old points system

Possible Schedule:

02/14/13- Daytona 2007 - Budweiser Shootout - GNS_CTS
02/20/13- Daytona 2007 - Qualifying/Duel day - GNS_CTS
02/21/13- Daytona 2007 - Daytona 500k - GNS_CTS
02/28/13- Fontana_day - Auto Club 200k - NNC07
03/07/13- Las Vegas - UAW-DaimlerChrysler 200k - NNC07
03/14/13- Atlanta_day - Kobalt Tools 200k - NNC07
03/21/13- Bristol_day - Food City 150 - SS.NET COT
03/28/13- Martinsville - Goody's Cool Orange 125 - SS.NET COT
04/04/13- Texas - Samsung 200k - NNC07
04/11/13- Phoenix_old_night - Subway Fresh fit 100 - SS.NET COT
04/18/13- Talladega - Aaron's 299k - GNS_CTS
04/25/13- Richmond - Crown Royal 100 - SS.NET COT

Chase:
05/02/13- Darlington_day - Dodge Avenger 200k - SS.NET COT
05/09/13- Charlotte_day - Coca-Cola 600k - NNC07
05/16/13- Dover - Autism Speaks 100 - SS.NET COT
05/23/13- Pocono - Pocono 200k - NNC07
05/30/13- Michigan - Citizens bank 200k - NNC 07
06/06/13- Sonoma - Toyota/Savemart 150k - SS.NET COT
06/13/13- New Hampshire - Lennox tools 101 - SS.NET COT

these 17 race are the first half of the 2007 Nextel Cup schedule, If we like this and want to do another season of the same thing we could do the same thing with the 2nd half of the 2007 schedule starting with the July Daytona race.

3 mods? nopenopenopenope
I don't like either of the ideas. I would honestly prefer a 8-10 race Cup mod schedule with in-game tracks.

I was actually reffering to the fact that no one will paint me a car for 3 seperate mods. Lol. I just think its unneccesarily complicated.

maybe you should have said that instead of nopenopenope lol, I figured that would be an issue, I didn't think it would be too much of a hassle to just paint 3 cars, some people here like to paint 10 cars for a single series anyway.

Why don't we do an off-season 2007 type deal with the 3 mods (or atleast 2, NNC & SS.net) but don't follow the schedule to a certain degree, and claim it as an official Proline Season.

Then come February for the actual NASCAR season to start, just go back to cup12 (or when there's a new 2013 mod out) and do another Proline season.

I think the series has lost its count because people missed the chase and they just don't really see a reason to be running if the same 3 people win every week.
