for the shootout I think we were gonna do the elimination thing for the first segment where the last car gets eliminated every lap until its the last man standing. and then do a random invert for a 20 lap final segment or something like that.

And I just thought of a way we could do the elimination format and still have yellows.

-set the race for any amount of laps that is enough
-when there is a crash, throw the caution and everyone will race back. The person who caused the crash will get eliminated or if it's a racing deal it will just be whoever gets back last for that lap.
-nobody gets eliminated until the 2nd lap after the restart.

I thought that was just a joke. lol

I'd rather just have a normal race. Pole sitters + past champions + past shootout winners if applicable. 25 lap race. Keep it simple.

Plus on the topic of the templates, I can get the links to the Dodge and Ford templates ready as long as they actually get POSTED on here for people to get.

I'm sure the last thing people want to hear is me being anal about someone not having the right carfile painted on the right template that I'm going to pretend I have some authority over because that's what I do.

I know the Dodge had a couple of updates I made that I sent to Chad, think he mentioned something about stuff Lambert had for the Yota.

The only major change I made was the headlights, but I did change the side shading, but that doesn't have to be included.

funny, a few weeks ago i thought a lot of people wanted the elimination format for one of the segments when we were talking about it.

I don't want to force my opinion like hitler, but I think it would be really fun, like a non points race should be. it wouldn't decide who wins the race, just because you get eliminated in the segment doesn't mean your race is over. I'd assume 15 cars or so? so only about a 17-20 lap segment. It's pretty simple, if you're last you're out. Then we do a normal segment after that.

The only thing I remember from that night was me bringing it up as a joke, which resulted in us doing it for fun racing for a bit. I misunderstood anyways, and thought you meant that would just be the official race. It was a bit confusing. I think a safe bet is if it isn't in writing on the forum, it's not official.

Anyways, I can see us doing something like that. Have the open for non qualified entries, maybe just a 10 lap race. Then do the shootout like that, have it in segments, the first segment being the elimination race. Then set the order of the next segment based on where you were eliminated.
