| for a while now we've been using the current 43-1 nascar system which you may know scores points evenly giving one less point for every spot down the order. The system we used a while back, as well as the old nascar system rewarded consistent top five and top ten finishes a lot more than this system did. for example the points spread between the top 5 would be five points, then four points for 6th-10th and then three point spread per position through the rest of the field. Personally I would rather use a system like that, it's a lot harder to gain or lose points to people when the points are evenly spread with small fields. It works ok when you have a 43 car field, but a system like the one I mocked up here would be more suitable for 15-20 car fields we usually have. It rewards you a lot more for top 5 and top 10 finishes and consistency. What do you guys think?
