| Bad luck and stupid mistakes have been the downfall of my season. | |

| Just some reference for future races
Concrete grip is about 0.6 less grippy than asphalt, and paint is about .11 less grippy than asphalt so if you set the grips at:
0.94 Asphalt 1.00 Concrete 1.05 Paint
The surfaces will have effectively the same grip level, therefore setting one value at a small increase for example putting asphalt at 1.00 and concrete at 1.03 will make the concrete lane have LESS grip than the asphalt line. the sweet spot for setting groves for chassis 2 is around a .7 difference on concrete and .14 for paint
for chassis 5 its about .10 and .20 these vary significantly depending on the track. flatter tracks need a bigger gap.
Setting the track_armco_grip to just above the highest grip lane will prevent cars from getting stuck and sucked around when they get close to the wall
also when you do chassis 2, setting the ambient temperate higher only hurts the already low horsepower you have with chassis 2, you can compensate tire heat and wear by changing the tire heat and wear values, also making high gear only top out around 8000 makes draft even more of a factor. setting the ambient Temperature to 40 degrees will give the cars more power but will make the car loose on cold tires, compensate with tire heat and slightly more base grip.
Lastly, when you have paint as one of the surfaces, tire heat needs to be set really low so the max temps on the right front tire are around 200, because running the paint keeps the tires significantly cooler and the lane becomes overpowered even if it is slightly slower than the bottom(like Texas). The saving grace tonight was that the high lane grip was set too low, making it unusable all together otherwise it would have been high line dominant. _________________ Solstice Racing Winter Proline Truck Series Season 10 ChampionSolstice Racing Proline Cup Series Season 3 ChampionVSR Nationwide Series Season 1 ChampionVSR Winston Cup Series ChampionSolstice Racing ASA Indycar Series Oval ChampionSolstice Racing Road of Champions Class B Champion64 NR2003 League Race winsLatest: 11/16/14 OSW SNC @ Phoenix

| Thanks for the insight! I knew paint was lower, but didn't know that concrete was that much different than asphalt. _________________ Solstice Racing main Admin. Career Wins: 40 (Last - Daytona, Studio Speed Retro Superspeedway Series) Career Poles: 38 (Last - Atlanta, Studio Speed Cup Series)

| At a place like Texas or Atlanta, I know the deficit for A/C/P (asphalt, concrete, paint) is typically a bigger gap too.
For example:
A - 1.00 C- 1.08 P- 1.18
Note: this is if the grooves are set up in that order.
