I don't just don't see how the Yankees threw in the towel like a lot of people are claiming when they went 3 innings after the 9th where the Rays didn't score, and even the Yankees had a guy on 3rd base WITH 0 OUTS, that's not "tanking" or "throwing in the towel" like a lot of people say.

I'm not even going to watch tomorrow's game, Derek Lowe is going to give up 10 runs and the Braves are going to get shut out, it's cliche now. Already know how this one's going to end.
Ironic... I think the score for this game ended up being 10-1 lol
Edit: Actually checked, 7-1, but you get the point lol

What game were you watching? They were down by SEVEN RUNS. The game went to twelve innings. I hope you aren't just upset because Boston choked a 9 game lead.

Has got to be the most epic, awesome sauce, emotionally draining, jizz tastic night of Baseball ive ever watched. Rays / Orioles / Red sux / Yankee's fan or not, you have to admit tonight was amazing.
In other words, i think im still shaking after all this, everything played out for the Rays just right. We were down 7 runs in the top of the 8th, and get a walked run what 3 times? Then get a 3 run homer thanks to Dan Johnson? Yes. Then in the 12th when the Rays were informed of the Orioles winning, i think that just gave them the extra drive to get that score, and thank you Evan Longoria for being there.

I know no one here cares about the Braves, but I'm going to do a quick write up anyways. If you want to read it, shouldn't be too long lol:
After seeing both our setup man AND closer struggle in the final month and both have 79+ appearances this season, obviously in the end they were off. I think Fredi Gonzalez would be smart to have 2 set-up men and 2 closers instead of the 7th inning pitcher (Eric O'Flaherty, who had the lowest ERA of any reliever ever with at least 70 appearances), a setup man (Venters), and the closer (Kimbrel). Kris Medlen came in relief of Kimbrel and went 1 1/3 innings and gave up only a hit.
I think the 7th inning pitcher should be Christian Martinez (can do 6th inning if need or even the 5th or earlier, he's can do long outings) then have Medlen and O'Flaherty as the 8th inning setup men, then have Kimbrel and Venters as the closers (both have overpowering stuff and when hot, they are almost untouchable).
That would help solve the issue of having relievers with 70+ appearances hopefully, and give them enough juice to last through September and even into the playoffs.
Also, a new hitting coach would be nice, but they have already announced ALL of the coaches are returning...

Moore put on a clinic, Joe Maddon has looked like a genius lately, throw in a rookie (good no doubt) on one start and put on a pitching clinic in the playoffs. Great win.

With Shields on the mound tomorrow, hopefully it's more of the same.
