| Not that it will matter. Santorum and Romney had similar views, although since they are from the same party, you would expect that . The key difference I can find between the two is that Romney doesn't embrace batshit insane Christian conservatives as much, since he is Mormon.
Not to be a downer, but I think religion will play a factor in this election. Then again, there is SO MUCH MISINFORMATION about Obama that he might end up benefiting from it. Still, informed conservatives might rather Christian president. Not that it should matter. Religion doesn't belong in government policy.

| http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2012/04/09/gIQAQ5g26S_graphic.htmlI don't understand why the public thinks Obama can flick a switch and give everyone $2 gas. He doesn't have that kind of power, and cheaper gas is a short term solution for a long term problem. America needs to focus on developing alternative energy resources. America is the only country in the world where you can seriously not believe in humanities affects on the environment. As far as the economy goes, its hard to get anything done with a senate like this. Both sides are so set on winning they can't get anything done. Every 4 years this repeats itself. The candidates promise whatever people want, don't accomplish it, and get nailed for it the next election. Every president has good intentions, but its just not as easy as it looks. | |

| All these "foiled" terrorist plots are getting quite annoying. And heres the reason:
Every single one of these so called plots, are always started by the Government. It starts with CIA agents going into these groups and saying "Hey do you use this thing that we are building." When one person finally says yes, they blow it around all day on every news channel that in all their greatness foiled this massive plot. No they didn't. They stopped a plot that they came up with. You rarely hear of them stopping something they weren't involved in.

If he would just tell them that we can drill in alaska and in the gulf and everywere else were theres oil over here the economy would take care of itself for the most part. We need to stop getting our oil from over seas and just drill in our back yard.

| Easier said than done, Jarrett. You just can't go drilling in people's backyards and hope there's something there. | |

| Well the last resort is drilling here when the world runs dry on oil. They will eventually need to do a alternative fuel soon anyways. Can't keep pumping the same old gas. But at the moment that is not a possibility. He can't control the oil companies greediness either. | |

| We have plenty of oil already being drilled and the prices aren't going down..In this area of texas we get almost all of our oil from the West Texas Shale project. They currently have such a surplus of oil coming out of the ground that they barely know what do to with it and the prices aren't going down. The issue is all of oil price speculating and insider trading going on. With oil prices the way they are, gas should at MINIMUM be 1 dollar a gallon cheaper based on how it was a few years ago. | |

Private companies don't give a shit about making gas affordable, beacuse we need it no matter the price. If it goes to high, demand goes down, they lower prices, and demand goes up again. Either way, they make billions. The fact is we DO get oil from our on lands. But you can't just go around issuing permits willy-nilly. We have had major ecological disasters caused from oil spills both in Alaska and in the Gulf of Mexico. Whether you believe in global warming or not, surely you must agree we should do our best not to hard the environment. Most of Alaska (which is presumably where everyone wants them to drill) is a national wildlife reserve. Alaska has some of the most pristine and untouched natural beauty of the world, and we should cherish it. Unless you expect Obama to take over oil companies (OMG SOCIALISM GTFO!), he has absolutely no way of directly lowering prices set by private companies.
