Battle of Bands (Fun Race)

Hey everyone! This is something that popped out of my head some weeks ago. It would be a normal fun race, but organized, and the PRIMARY sponsors would be bands (but they can be solo singers). Associate sponsors, b-pillars could be w/e you guys would like to put it in the car.
About tracks, I say everything? Fictional, real, short, Local to Superspeedways, 1.5 mile, short tracks, all kind. From all over the world.
The mod we should use is my main concern. I know that most of you guys can run all (or most of them) mods, but my main vote is the Original Cup Mod. Mainly because my PC isn't the best (actually, a 2005 PC ain't the best gaming rig, but it's what I have lol). But maybe we could use more than one mod, like ranging thru the Whelen, to the BR11/DMR11, SRD N'wide, all of them.
Date. Another point. I'm on vacation right now until the end this month, and I know you guys are coming back to your normal schedules, so I would like suggestions to run this, but I still would like to run this month, since I can be wake till anytime I want (4/5/6AM) and since I am 3 hrs ahead of the East Coast (here is 9:49PM, so it must be 6:49PM at New York, as example.)
Suggestions are allowed, but I really would like to run this. And for me it has a special feeling run this, since 2012 is gonna be my last year racing online in NR2003.

Sounds like a great idea.

original cup sounds like a good idea, would this be a 1 race or multiple races. we could have teams that would run the same band if more than 1 person wants to run the same band.

Multiple races. Some tracks I though in using:

-Daytona
-Talladega
-Indy
-WG w/ chute.
-Rio Oval
-Colorado Springs (Caleb's track)

I call Disturbed as band already lol

please not Colorado Springs the racing there is really derpy

Serious? Lol, anyway, maybe use some of the V8 tracks like Barbagallo, Hungaroring, some fictional, some Whelen/Local tracks like Bowman Gray. Use a wide variety.

I'd say do one race, call it the Solstice Rock & Roll 400, run it at Richmond, profit.

Maybe do that later in the year? But I liked the idea.

But the one race thing is a better idea, I really don't see you getting enough interest for more than that one race.

Instead of using Richmond, use a SS track?

Here is something I came up.

Mod: Original Cup
Make & Model: No restriction.
Track: Talladega Night (accepting suggestions)
Normal Solstice Racing rules for the race, but maybe No Damage applied?

Any other suggestions?

Is anyone interessed in running this? I had the intentions to run this race this or the next Saturday...

Next Saturday would be the 24hr rolex race wouldn't it? Might be better to try running this next Wednesday and throw up the sign-ups now and see who wants to run.

Any track suggestion? I though in running SuperCell SSX since it's a SS, but I'm open to suggestions.

It seems like both would be correct reading the whole thread, either way, I would of never realized that could become as complicated as originally thought.

And as far as the race goes.. I think it would be fun to do that with the trucks instead. Or maybe run a roadie in spirit of the 24hr race.

just like when you use to say "Green next lap" in races, i try to avoid using that word

It would be fun to run the trucks, but since my PC is the worst around here, I though of using Original Cup.. Did you see the picture I posted yesterday on the TS3 after the fun race?
And for the roadie... I though of using a SS to give everyone a fair chance to win the race... but, why not?
