My brothers M-Rad thing (heavely armored Hummer from what we understand) hit an IED sometime within the past 2-3 days (he cant say) and it blew the hell out of the M-Rad. They're built to take the IED hits so he was okay other than a concussion and a busted up foot but their gunner apparently got pretty messed up. Thanks god he was in the M-Rad thing and in the passenger seat, not the gunner.

so for 2011 i plan on going to the following races

1. southern modified race at south boston
2. Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown
3. Richmond Spring Race (nationwide & cup)
4. late model races on saturday nights at Southside (the whelen all american series is running there for the first time this year so definitely going to check that out)
5. late model race at Langley Speedway

...and hopefully if i have enough money this summer, me and a couple of friends want to go to a modified race at Bowman-Gray. really hope i can go

I might get to go to the ORP races Lucas Oil Raceway, or whatever the fuck its called now. Like $204 for 2 tickets both nights.

I wish they would just go back to calling it IRP. I'm not a fan of naming rights for a speedway.

Me either but it gets the bills paid to keep the track running. ORP is the midwests version of Irwindale. Which is why its awesome. I may go to the ORP races this year if I get a car. I know for sure I'm going to all the Kentucky races.

And this Summer I may be getting a car for short track racing up at Kil Kare. So hopefully I can start my real racing career.

Your lucky if you can start racing aha, the only car that I have that I would be able to run is a 69' nova, but the back end is fucked along with the cockpit.lol

It won't be easy I know that. I may end up just working with a team up there and maybe getting a chance to drive and show my stuff. I just know this is what I want to do, weather it is local short track racing or actually making it somewhere in the sport. I just want to race. That's all I want to do and I will do it. Hopefully I can get a car though, I know of a few sponsors that would sponsor me already.

I was planning on racing a street stock car at a local dirt track about 1 1/2-2 years ago, and some races at Rocky Mountain Raceways about 45 miles away, but the expenses of gas, getting a trailer to haul the car, and other expenses on the actual car was too much to handle, so I decided to back off on the idea or else I would be eating top ramen all the time, unfortunately.
