Daytona 500k [125 Laps]

ok guys here's how this is gonna work, I thought I'd get this out now to give people a long notice that we're doing something different. we're gonna have practice and qualifying and a duel race on Wednesday (the day before the race) so we can go strait to race on Thursday at 7:30 so we aren't there for 4 hours, Racing on Wednesday is not required to start the 500 but is recommended if you want to get more race practice and/or a good starting spot. there will still be a 30 minute practice before the race on Thursday. here's a more detailed schedule

Wednesday:

7:00 PM: Practice Starts
8:00 PM: Qualifying (front row is locked) (1 Bonus point for pole sitter)
8:15 PM: 20 Lap Duel Race to set rest of the field


Thursday:

7:00 PM Practice Starts
7:30 PM Drivers Meeting
7:40 PM Race (125 Laps)
9:40 PM (approx) Race Ends

If your name isn't on the approved list, run tonight's nationwide race cleanly and you will be able to race

The Daytona Qualifier is tomorrow!

We'll have qualifying where the front row will be set for the race on Thursday, then the heat race where the rest of the grid is set.

Practice at 7:00 PM EST, Qualifying at 8 PM, Drivers Meeting after that, Happy Hour, then the heat race (could have two if we get a lot of people)

opps. didnt get on yesterday and didn't know i had to run nationwide lol. can i still run the duel?

I think you should be allowed to if you run the duels and get approved by Baker/Jake.

btw I talked to Mike, he said he could run tomorrow

yea matt you can run the duel race, if you have a clean race we will let you run the 500

also another note,

for the drivers who do not run the duel race but show up for the 500, the rest of the grid will be set by last years points standings. so it will be like this


1. Set by qualifying
2. Set by qualifying
3-15(approx). Set by duel finishes
16-20(approx). Set by driver points

Well I just can't figure these superspeedway cup setups out. So rather than be slow and get in the way ill be running nationwide for awhile lol

Fun race! GW Brian! I did everything I could to stay off Brian and it was just a big check up! That's just Superspeedways racing.

That was pretty fun. I had just enough damage to slow me down there at the end. Couldn't do anything. GW Brian!

Well, Lap down throw much of the race. At the end I just couldn't get to Brett and Lambert in time. Ya and Emerson I was trying to stay away from you but I hit the apron and slide in the last wreck there.
