| Race was ruined by people on the restart, not really surprising.
It's nice to only make 2 laps in the past 2 500's that we've done... _________________ Solstice Stats: 12 Wins: Bud Shootout, Randy's Duel, SRL Daytona 500 (3 times), Winston 500 at Talladega, SRL Retro IROC Series at Martinsville, Riverside Park 100, Budweiser 100 @ Gateway, Indycar at Chicagoland, Florida Orange Juice @ Homestead, Pocono Mountains 100 @ Pocono

| For all the faux "tradition" and fanfare we tried to put up for this race, all the fluff before the race. Three wide starts, all that jazz. This race would have been much better if we did it just normally. Normal qualifying, normal restarts. I feel like all this stuff just isn't the kind of thing you just 'do'. _________________ NR03 Career wins: 15 Career championships: 1 | |

| Here's the replay for those who want it, didn't grab the super final replay though http://www.mediafire.com/?fw387ajf4a01z0aDidn't get to show off my race setup because of getting punted before even taking the green flag to start the race... Checked up for what I thought could turn into a wreck, got punted from behind... Ruined my race, but I survived the rest of it to grab 4th. Also won the super final, made the move really early after Adam got loose, but I held everyone off at the line. 4th place points and 4 bonus points towards the oval championship _________________ Solstice Racing main Admin. Use a little bit of common sense here, you came into the server 30 laps into the race and you expect me to give you 29 laps? It wouldn't of been fair at all to the people who got wrecked or put down laps already. I'm pretty sure this unwritten rule has been brought up multiple times saying if you came back within 10-12 laps, you can get your laps back. Yeah it's not in the rules, but it's not like it's something new. As far as the race goes I'm pretty disappointed at the way it went. I blame myself for making the track that insane in a sense of speed and how easy it was to wreck. I honestly don't think the restarts were much of a problem, yes the main start was one, I wish there would of been patience in it, but the way the track was also setup did not help it at all. Also it's fine emerson... it's the way racing goes sometimes. _________________ R.I.P. I did use common sense, I thought that it being a 128 lap race, 30 laps would be no big deal seeming that its only 20% of the race, if it was 30 laps into a normal distance race I wouldn't even bother, maybe 10-12 laps is a good number for laps given back, but not when the race is this long. its not like I was just lazy and came to the race late without caring, I tried to get home as fast as I could, I thought I could get a break. I would have passed the cars that wrecked out of the race whether I got my laps back or not, you could have put me a lap behind the last car that was running which would have been 5 laps down so I at least had a chance to make it up and It would be fair to all the other cars still running. and yea, it seemed like something you made up, I've never heard anything about denying people getting their laps back "after a certain point", the only thing that I've heard and known we've been doing is all but 1, and that Isn't even in the rules either. I should have a right to argue about this when it's something that never gets addressed in the rules or drivers meeting. _________________ Solstice Racing Winter Proline Truck Series Season 10 ChampionSolstice Racing Proline Cup Series Season 3 ChampionVSR Nationwide Series Season 1 ChampionVSR Winston Cup Series ChampionSolstice Racing ASA Indycar Series Oval ChampionSolstice Racing Road of Champions Class B Champion64 NR2003 League Race winsLatest: 11/16/14 OSW SNC @ Phoenix | |

I should have a right to argue about this when it's something that never gets addressed in the rules or drivers meeting. That actually is a deal coming in 30 laps after the race start. Especially since in this particular case there were a lot of cars that wrecked out early/got damaged. I'm sure Baker can also tell you this isn't something I personally just made up, it's been used before by me and him for people that have fallen out. I have also mentioned it in past drivers meetings myself, recently in the past 2 weeks? no I haven't. It is something that's overlooked being added in the rules a lot of the time, but it can be admin discretion about giving your laps back as well. It's more being gracious about it than a rule. But I will add it now to the rulebook. _________________ R.I.P. | We've never had anyone go 30 laps down missing the start, therefore it has never been a problem. As it has been decided by Caleb during the race, with the admin's discretion rule we have, as it is said, it now goes. You still managed to get 7th place and Caleb gave you enough laps back to be able to do that. When an admin says something, it goes.
Shit happens, we get it, but when an admin says something, it goes. From now on, if you get in after 10% of a scheduled distance, you cannot get any laps back. If you are able to get in before the 10% mark is passed, you will get all of your laps back, except one. Also, if you fall out, if you don't make it back within 10 laps after falling out you will not get your laps back. _________________ Solstice Racing main Admin. not really, I responded to every one of your points in my post. then you just turned it back into the unwritten rule thing. I actually agree with not giving laps back after a certain point, but you cant use 10 laps as a gauge for every track and race, we could race at a roadie with only 25 laps in the race and you could fall out for almost half the race, lose 9 laps in 20 minutes and get them back? or if we are running a short track and you could lose 10 laps in a 100 lap race in less then 5 minutes and you don't get them back, or in this case you lose 30 laps out of 128 and I only ask for as many laps as to get behind the last car running. which would be only 22 laps, which I think is reasonable for the length of the race. and like I said, I would have passed the cars that wrecked out whether I got laps back or not, there was still 100 laps left in the race. I'm done arguing because obviously I'm getting nowhere and am just pissing myself off even more. _________________ Solstice Racing Winter Proline Truck Series Season 10 ChampionSolstice Racing Proline Cup Series Season 3 ChampionVSR Nationwide Series Season 1 ChampionVSR Winston Cup Series ChampionSolstice Racing ASA Indycar Series Oval ChampionSolstice Racing Road of Champions Class B Champion64 NR2003 League Race winsLatest: 11/16/14 OSW SNC @ Phoenix | |
