| I thought of this when I was watching local heat races at my local track yesterday, why don't we have 2 10 lap heat races to set the field and award 5 points for the win, 3 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd. the grid for the heat races would be set by practice times. I think this would be fun and it would only add another 10 minutes to our race night. _________________ Solstice Racing Winter Proline Truck Series Season 10 ChampionSolstice Racing Proline Cup Series Season 3 ChampionVSR Nationwide Series Season 1 ChampionVSR Winston Cup Series ChampionSolstice Racing ASA Indycar Series Oval ChampionSolstice Racing Road of Champions Class B Champion64 NR2003 League Race winsLatest: 11/16/14 OSW SNC @ Phoenix | |

| heat races never work with small fields. You need atleast 16+ to have solid heat races in my opinion. | |

| Um...no? Heat races are perfect for small fields. Big fields will prevent someone in the back from getting to the front in too few laps. | |

| how about that then, heat races ONLY if we have 16 or more cars? but the way its been going that may not happen, I'd say maybe a minimum of 6 cars for a good heat race, I just got this idea from watching the local races here and that's how they do it, I thought it would be fun for us to do it. we ought a try it one race to see if it works out. just a little something to spice the races up. _________________ Solstice Racing Winter Proline Truck Series Season 10 ChampionSolstice Racing Proline Cup Series Season 3 ChampionVSR Nationwide Series Season 1 ChampionVSR Winston Cup Series ChampionSolstice Racing ASA Indycar Series Oval ChampionSolstice Racing Road of Champions Class B Champion64 NR2003 League Race winsLatest: 11/16/14 OSW SNC @ Phoenix | |

| I like heat races but we hardly get big enough fields to make it worth the extra time. | |

| It's a good idea if you have 12 or more people in the server, 6 or more is needed in each heat race. | |

| I voted for yay. However I agree with some of the other comments on here. I think it should depend on the car count that we get. I also think if we do heat races then it should be the same every week. Then it would be fair across the board. | |

| I change my vote to NO
BECAUSE
I like showing up late. With Proline, I know that qualifying begins at 8:00. So I just have to get in before 8:00.
Qualifying begins around 7:30 with Indycar and restarts a few times and if I get in after Q1, well I can't even use the track to practice. So theres no point in getting in the server other than to hold your place so you can get in later. One time you guys started racing at like 7:53 which made me like -__-. So the last possible time to get into the server is quite ambiguous with unorthodox qualifying and one of the reasons I don't care much for the indycar series anymore.
I also hate having to just sit there, uneligible to practice while others are qualifying, or have to disconnect from the server to practice offline. And I don't understand why SMS lobby doesn't let me disconnect without closing the game and having to start it up again.
O and I also hate how long it takes to set up the field. And if theres a restart, I have to go through it all over again. So yeah, from now on I am against any unorthodox qualifying methods except for a big race like Daytona. | |
