As an insanely fanatical JJC fan, I'd like to thank KOMA Unwind, Wreaths Across America and Progenex! Also excited about Blockbuster being on teh 35 Cup car. That's a big name sponsor, hope they are impressed.

Thought Duel 1 was a good little race. It had just about everything in it lol. The first part was tame, felt like a 90's type race, we saw some tandem stuff on the restarts. The big crash and the last 5-6 laps were insane. 3 wide, Montoya came from dead last to like 3rd in a lap or two. Looked like the old L.A highway jam deal that people use to refer 2000-2002 SS races lol.
Hopefully the last 10 laps of Duel 2 are that intense!

Missed the first race. Finish looked pretty good though.
I can see one of these cars tumbling like fucking crazy, they spin so fast.

Carl spun about as fast as you can get turned and not one wheel came off the ground. I was shocked because as soon as he got hit I thought it was going to be a Dale Jr type deal from when he just flew over like a rag doll in the 2010 Nationwide race.
Oddly enough it was Carl Edwards who flipped Jr in that race if I recall lol.

Hopefully the racing is better in the 500 since they will actually want to try and win then.

Shocked Austin went with Kasey. I figured Kenseth and Kahne were going to just sit in line. Kasey made a good move on Matt with help from Dillon (Surprised the hell outta me that he actually was helping a Chevy comrad lol) but Kasey didn't do anything with it. He had one shot on the backstretch with the run he had but didn't make a move. These guys need to know you get one shot and thats about it. Can't wait till off turn 4 anymore. You get one shot and you need help behind you to even get a chance to pass the leader. Its like they suck up good but once they get a foot or two from the car in front it just stalls out big time.
If they raced how they did in the last 6 laps of the first Duel, it'll be the best Daytona 500 ever but I don't expect that at all and racing like that for 500 miles wouldn't be smart anyways. I expect a single file type deal for most of the 500 and maybe some good racing in the middle of the pack but they'll all get spread out quite a bit I'm sure. Its a bit of a mix of 90's racing and at times like SS racing was in 2001..
I just hope people don't expect 5 wide for the entire 500. They wouldn't make it 100 miles if they ran like that all race. I know some of the nub fans are going to be upset if they aren't 6 wide all race with cars on fire and flipped over and what not lol.. I expect Rura to blow a gasket within the first 50 laps when they're single file just ticking laps off lol.

The whole time I was thinking that Kahne should have gone and passed Kenseth with like 10 to go so Kyle wouldn't have a team mate behind him. Then he would have had a while to work over Busch.
I honestly never expect the duels to be like the more extreme super speedway races we've seen in the past. Wouldn't make sense to risk destroying your primary 500 car, but accidents happen too, like with Carl.
I think the 500 will be good. They can spread out and race when they want to and ride when they want. It won't be like the races last year where everybody is in one tight and stable pack and nobody can pass.

I don't care how single file it was, it's much better than the stupid fucking tangos.
