Final lap crash for Caleb Paul results in top ten finish for Sherman
A grueling 125 lap race at Daytona ended with a spectacular crash on the final lap and desperation attempts to get to the front left in vain. After making a run from the back of the pack late in the race after being involved in a late race incident, driver of the #15 Dexter Bowling Shoes Chevrolet, Keith Sherman, pulled off a 7th place finish dodging wrecks on the white flag.

"We had a good car, that was for sure. We stayed out of trouble early and rode around for the majority of the race. That was the strategy all along. We had a ton of cars in the lead draft and running in the middle of it would have been a death sentence. We got single file at the end but I was still able to work with the 93 to gain a few positions on the outside. In the end, it would have been nice to win but from a points perspective, 7th out of 35 is not a bad start."

The Daytona race week was capped off with a 3rd place finish in the short track race Friday night on the temporary course set up on the backstretch.

Early Exit for Sherman at Rockingham: Daytona momentum carries him into the barrels
Solstice Racing Team Di-Q1FU
After a promising start to the season at Daytona, the luck did not follow the #15 team to North Carolina. On lap 2 of the race, Sherman was forced to check up for slower traffic. Teammate Aaron Johnson slipped up the track and started to spin down. Sherman glanced off of him and was forced into the end of the pit wall, severely damaging his car and ending his day.

"Yeah it sucks, but that's how it goes sometimes. We'll pick up the pieces and head to Vegas."

Keith Sherman calls California "A Nicktastrophe"

Two very poor finishes at California have set Sherman back in both the race for the chase in Proline, and the run at the championship in Dash.

"We went into California hoping for a good run, and we got it in the Maine car until all hell broke loose at the end. I had a miscommunication through my radio where I believed the green to be out, and just ran into the back of Ryan and ended that race. Then tonight didn't get any better when my brakes went to the floor and I spun. After both incidents I then got run into by Baker and Kahrs. You could call it a 'Nicktastrophe'. We go to Richmond next week, which is usually one of my better tracks. Hopefully we can get a good run there."
