| Description This is our 4th annual Sim Indy 500k, this time around we will be using a 1990 version of Indianapolis Speedway along with the Smiffsden.com 90s like era IndyCar Racing 1.2 mod. We will be running this event in junction with APRS (Action Packed Racing Series), which means if you are a Solstice Racing driver, your camera pod will be red. If you are a APRS driver your camera pod will be blue. If you are un-affliated you can either choose to run for Solstice Racing, APRS or run a white camera pod. If you run both leagues full time, just choose which one to run for. Race Date: Sunday, May 19 2013 at 7:30 PM ET Four lap qualifying starts at 8:00 PM ET with 33 car grid lock. License System and IndyLights race If you are either a rookie or a new driver who has not been given a recommendation from a respectful driver, you must run the Indy Lights race prior to the Sim Indy 500k to be able to have a chance to race in the Sim Indy 500k. Running this race does not mean you will be automatically allowed to run the Sim Indy 500k. It will be based on how well you can hold a line. If you already have a veteran license or proline license here at Solstice, you will be allowed to run the Sim Indy 500k without a problem. APRS drivers will also run under this system. Special race rules We will be running the Solstice Racing rulebook for this event since our rulebook and APRS' rulebook are very similar, however there are a few special rules for this race. - The start will be the traditional three wide start that they do in real life. - We will do 4 qualifying laps in a normal in-game qualifying session. It will be best lap instead of best average. Paint schemes and carfiles Below is the template you must use to be able to run this race. If you are running for either Solstice Racing, APRS or you are neutral, please select the correct package layer on the template. The red boxes with the N in them is where you must place your numbers. You have a choice of 6 engine manufactures, Chevrolet, Buick, Cosworth, Judd, Porsche and Alfa Romeo. When importing into the game, you are required to import the flat onto chassis 1 (Dodge) ONLY.
