| I normally wouldn't keep going on about the outcome of the race, because it is "just a game", but I want to set the record straight and get my point across, because the majority of you guys now see me as some bitchy asshole, and that is not who I am.
I've been racing here at Solstice, part time, for about a year now. Solstice Racing has been one of the most fun, competitive leagues that I have ever had the pleasure of running since I started sim racing back in 2007. I haven't had as much luck here as I have had in other servers... Only 1 win in my short stint, and more getting caught up in others accidents, but shit happens, and we move on.
Yeah, it's just a game, but none of us would be playing it if we didn't think we could race and win at a competitive level. I haven't really "hung out" with you guys... I just show up and race, and the reason for that is because I don't have time to. I work around 65-75 hours per week, and even when I'm not at work, I'm still working on more projects either for work or towards another career. So with that said, I don't really know everybody that well, or as well as I did back in the day when I raced at OpenSpeedway, ISARS, FTF, UNSR, and even the Midnight Thunder crew from AKM.
I admit that I have a temper, a short one at that. I've been wrecked more times than I can count, but "getting revenge" is never on the table for me when that does happen. Most times, the person who wrecks me get penalized, or knows they did me wrong, and we all move on.
That's why last night, I took it so personally when I got my shit dumped coming to the white flag, and the person who dumped me gets to keep the win. In the end, I guess it really doesn't matter to me who wins because I didn't, but the fashion in which I was wrecked was intentional to me, because I didn't receive an apology, and following the race, makes a post completely disregarding the fact that he punted me, only stating that he dominated, got wrecked, and and charged his way back up.
Congratulations, I'm glad you feel good winning in that fashion, because if I had ever done someone dirty like that, I would have pulled over, or accepted the fact that I caused that wreck, because that is called being a decent person, even in a damn game.
The argument was made that he did not spin me, and that I brake checked him, therefore he did not deserve to be punished. Let me be clear. HE DID SPIN ME. I was full throttle coming off the corner when I got spun. I SAVED IT. Because I saved it, I ended up heading straight for the wall.
I had two split second choices when I got hit: Save it, or let it spin around. ->If I save it, I have a chance to not wreck everyone behind me, and I still might have a chance to hold my position. ->If I let it spin around, I collect the #5, #62, #21, and probably many more. And every time, I try to save it.
After I saved it, it went straight to the wall, and bounced off, and still ended up collecting a bunch of racers. To those racers, I apologize. I apologize that you got involved, but not by my account. Either way, when the #5 got into the back of my car, we were all doomed.
The argument that he did not spin me is invalid, because he wrecked me regardless. I just didn't spin around until other cars got needlessly involved.
I know how hard it is to run a league. I know how hard it is to make a call, I've done it for 6 years now, and people still come to me to ask my opinion on things, or for help with admining. I never intended for the shitstorm that did happen last night. I made my own post on my own private facebook wall, and then it was brought into SRG, and people asked for a view of the wreck.
It wouldn't have happened if the right call was made to begin with. You guys did it Wednesday night, why not Thursday night? If I didn't know any better, it's because you don't know me, and don't care.
Now you do, and I'm not going to get bullied with. I'll do my damnedest to make sure things stay fair, not only for me, but for everybody.
TL;dr - Please review the call made last night coming to the white flag, I don't feel it was a fair call. What's stated above are my reasons. | |

| It's still being reviewed, but it had looked like you saved it, but I guess the tire heat caused you to travel right into the wall. If you didn't hit the wall, nothing would've happened. That doesn't matter though since you did hit it. It's a tough call because you saved it, but we have a lot of eyes in our admin group and we will sort it out.
That was my first time being the race admin on my own and everything wasn't going all that well with that. I apologize to everyone for that. There were dumb wrecks that shouldn't have happened, some people probably should've been parked.
Wrecks caused by people have been kinda shrugged off recently, but that's changing now.
We'll get the official results ASAP, but there is a lot of sorting to do. Please bare with me. _________________ Solstice Racing main Admin. Career Wins: 40 (Last - Daytona, Studio Speed Retro Superspeedway Series) Career Poles: 38 (Last - Atlanta, Studio Speed Cup Series)
