| All right so, here's the deal. Caleb and I are working on organizing a NR2003 Crash-A-Rama. I envisioned this being a fun night of us just screwing around and having fun. I was thinking we could use the street stock mod and several different tracks. Either already having existed in the game (such as Thunderhill), or purpose built for this nigh (such as the long jump track and Port-a-John tracks Caleb made. What this thread is for is discussion about first of all who all is interested it doing this, and deciding a proper date and time for maximizing attendance, as well as suggestions for events and tracks. So far, these are the events I have in mind. Figure 8 race (Raleigh) Demolition Derby (Bowman Gray) Rollover Contest (Thunderhill) Jumping for Distance (Calebs Long jump) Port-a-Potty race (Calebs port-a-potty) Current other suggestions
Flag pole race (Track?) Drifting competition Nurburgring 1 lappers I am OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS. Anything you can think of that is easily feasible without too much explanation and inside the realm of possiblity for nr03, suggest it, and we can try to find a way to incorporate it into this event.

| I thought about a flag pole race, and it sounds like a fun idea. Might be one we'd have to do something like, set the track to 1 lap, then pace it off and then line up and race so people don't get disqualified going backwards. And a drifting race might be fun. I know I can't drive that track for shit though lol.
I've also thought about a Gauntlet race, which would be similar to our "tag" but with modified rules. That would be pretty fun at Unity Raceway that we were racing last night. _________________ NR03 Career wins: 15 Career championships: 1

| I would say yes to the 70s 80s drag racing, but we do that damn near all the time.
One lappers at Nurburgring is an idea. Maybe the first one to 3 that we always do. If we want to get more complicated, possibly a bracket system?
Also lets get thinking up some dates. Rather do it sooner or later? We could probably find a day of the week in the next two weeks or so. Or later in the summer. Again, the goal is maximizing attendance. _________________ NR03 Career wins: 15 Career championships: 1

I'll go ahead and expand on this. The Gauntlet race would basically be tag with a few extra rules. In actual gauntlet racing, you usually have one person in a mini bus or large van, and other cars usually try to immobilize that car in a certain amount of laps, if not, the person driving the van is declared the winner. This could be easily done in practice session. The way I picture our version of the Gauntlet. We determine who is "it" by virtue of them winning another event, possibly the demo derby. We'll call that car the 'objective car'. That driver then lines up at the s/f line, with all others lined up about 3 car lengths behind them. Then the signal is given to go and have at it. Instead of laps, I'd say a time limit would be better. 5-10 minutes. I was going to suggest a rule that nobody is allowed to 'return to pit' and get a new car. If you are immobilized you are eliminated from the competition. But that's still open for discussion. Whenever we get everything finalized I plan on making a description for each event and any rules that may pertain to each race. _________________ NR03 Career wins: 15 Career championships: 1

| You'd probably have to finish making some of the tracks. I remember we were going to do the rollover contest at Thunderhill. I'd still be up for it, if the interest is still there. _________________ NR03 Career wins: 15 Career championships: 1 | |

| I started reading this thread thinking it was just posted, then I realized the entire discussion i was reading happened over a year ago. I would love to do this, me and caleb were talking last night about doing something like this. One thing I just thought of would be having a 2-3 team relay race around a track like Desert road course or another one of those Windy City tracks. one guy would start the race, the next guys would be waiting at a certain point on the track, when you get to the next guy for the next leg you hit them in the rear to "pass the baton" you would try to hit them as hard as you can to give them a good launch but not hard enough to kill him I'd also like to do a round of rallycross _________________ Solstice Racing Winter Proline Truck Series Season 10 ChampionSolstice Racing Proline Cup Series Season 3 ChampionVSR Nationwide Series Season 1 ChampionVSR Winston Cup Series ChampionSolstice Racing ASA Indycar Series Oval ChampionSolstice Racing Road of Champions Class B Champion64 NR2003 League Race winsLatest: 11/16/14 OSW SNC @ Phoenix | |
