The last picture they posted was the Dodge model, and said they didn't really have any other model finished. So I wouldn't say they have made real progress yet.

TBH, I'm fine with the SBR and Revamped tracks out already and hell, most of the BR tracks are fine as well. What I think we as a community need to do is just work on what we have now. Yeah, I don't mind seeing a new series out every once in awhile but jeez, it seems that every year we need to do a COT or Truck mod. I can understand updating the templates according to specific rule changes but I'd love for us to just stick to a generalized mod and update it as needed. Let's take the time to figure out what we can do with the papy.ai and track.ini to create a better, more realistic racing experience. Most of the stuff out there now is great but I think we are starting to slide a bit from the realisim aspect of things. Yeah, there's Iracing but why am I going to pay all of that money when there is a perfectly fine vehicle right here in NR2003? After all, Iracing is 70% NR2003 anyways. I'm sure what they have done to the engine, we can do within reason. Until I can drive something other than a Chevy, I'll stick to NR03. If I put up the funds, I should be able to choose what make of car I wanna drive in.
What I think would be a good project to work on would be how to have more than 4 templates in a given series. However I'm sure that would involve modifying the .exe and Iracing would sue in a heartbeat if they found out about that. The gwc rule would also have to be done that route as well. But I'd like to work on what we have now and a mod covering 1995-1999 would be great as well. I know the Cup90 mod has those years but the templates are horrible IMO.
I just think we should try to go a bit deeper into the game and see what we can try to do to make NR2003 a more realistic game engine. Iracing is basically NR2003, and if they have done what they have in almost the same exact engine, I see why we cant do the same (pending legal limitations). That's just my 2 cents though.

So I was doing a race at Daytona with my NNS carset... Kevin Lepage and Timmy Hill caused the big one, with about 10 cars NOT being involved in it... Let's just say in real life David Stremme and Matt Carter would probably be in the hospital holding on to dear life after this one....
Matt Carter was about 10 seconds behind the rest of the field, and David Stremme was in the middle of the wreck. Matt Carter did not slow up until the last possible second and slammed into the side of Stremme, who flipped wildly flying over Allgaier and landing on Mike Wallace...
