So somebody on DCZ looked through my hero cards collection and he wants to buy some. The ones he listed aren't particularly "big" names. Just deciding what a fair offer would be is difficult, I've never sold hero cards before lol.

The names are Patrick Sheltra, Tim Mitchell, Dusty Cornelius, Rich Clouser, Justin Wakefield, Darren Brown, Jason Hedlesky, Ricky Turner, and Justin Larson, plus an SIP performance card. 10 cards in all. So what might be a fair offer?
So we decided on a trade instead. I was expecting an even 10 for 10 trade. Well, I guess since I didn't specify if I wanted newer or older cards, he just gave me three of each driver. 30 hero cards haha.

3 each of Michael Waltrip, Dale Jr, David Reutimann, Mike Skinner, Kenny Wallace, Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, Joe Nemechek, Paul Menard, and Martin Truex Jr.

This is probably the "gem" of the collection

All of my diecast, pic is shitty quality, but it's a web cam screenshot, can't expect much there...

The Diecast/Hero Card/Other Memorobilia Thread - Page 5 Nbdiecasts

On top are the two Stenhouse diecasts, obviously the big one is the PM diecast, the ones in front are the Biffle Scotch Tape diecast (white, blue, and black box), the center is a 1997 Coca-Cola 600 diecast, and the one out of the box is the slightly crushed 2011 Daytona 500 diecast...

Well the packaging suggests it's not a higher quality car. But it is Action so it doesn't look too bad. Might have a plastic chasis though.

So the guy who said he'd send me the spare hood for my Dale Earnhardt model kit, said he would send something else along with it to make the shipping worth while.

That "something else" was a 2006 Joe Nemechek Army 1:24 ARC

Couple of my latest diecast pick ups.. The Keselowski car is worth like 350$ and I got it at a flea market for 40$ earlier this week. Finally got some luck lol. Working 2 jobs plus buying and reselling some diecast is paying off. I get to help pay bills, put money into the cancer research fund and still (depending on how much I make weekly, sometimes PT work doesn't have consistent pay) I get to buy some diecast to keep my hobby going. I'd show all of my gems but for now I will just show a few for right now. This Hobby has basically taken over iRacing/NR2003 LOL.

This one is one of my favorites by far. I traded one of my cars for this, the original price on this was like 200+ $ I believe, I've tried to find another on eBay because I am interested in buying another lol but none to be found. They only made 100 though so that could be why haha.

I have been blessed with many rare and awesome cars. Had both the original 1997 Earnhardt Crash Car and the Elite versions and many other really rare and beautiful cars. Some I sold, some I trade. I've been blessed with 2 jobs (though Part Time) and I am able to keep my hobby going. I have been collecting cars for as long as I can remember.

These 2 mean alot more to me than most would think. I bought a lot of Dale Sr and Jr cars once from a guy off Craigslist. He gave me a great deal and when I opened the box I saw these two cars in it. He sent them both for free and little did I know the 2nd version of this car was a very very rare prototype version. And if anyone knows anything about Prototype cars they are very expensive cars. The prototype car has different graphics and was sent to very few Time Warner Brother Employees as gifts. The actual production version has changed graphics on the sides of the car and on the rear end. I am lucky enough to have both! If you look just right you will see some of the changes on the side of the car. I've got more pictures of the car, on the rear windshield, like all prototype cars it has the special prototype tag on it and has one underneath the car as well. Its very neat and was very nice of the guy to send those in for free. The Prototype version was valued at 300$ but I couldn't put it to myself to even think about selling that car. Even though many weeks we are short on cash, alot of times we rely on the money I make from work and from selling some of my collection because my Grandfather can not work alot of times anymore because of the Cancer hes going through.

Awesome that you are still able to support your hobby and in turn, supporting yourself and helping your grandfather. It really shows how much more these collections mean to people than just a bunch of toy cars as some others might see.

I've been lucky enough to happen across probably the nicest guy you'll ever meet diecast collecting. We had a business transaction when I purchased his services to build my custom diecast car.

Don't know why I haven't posted that here yet lol.
The Diecast/Hero Card/Other Memorobilia Thread - Page 5 DSC06421

Not only did he build that car for me, but he also sent the U.S. Army car seen on the previous page, (When all I asked for was one plastic hood for a model kit)

When he sent me the USBC car, he also sent me this, 1998 Team Caliber Joe Nemechek Bellsouth Chevy

The Diecast/Hero Card/Other Memorobilia Thread - Page 5 DSC06441

Then, again, out of the blue a few weeks after the final transaction where I payed him for the car, he told me he'd be sending me another package.

In that package, I found.

2000 Joe Nemchek Oakwood Homes Racing Champions

He hasn't once asked me to even pay shipping for any of these, even when I've offered to. He just sent them on the way and told me to be expecting a package.
