Well. At least if they do sell Bowman Gray. They can't stop any of the racing events until 2031 with the long-term lease they would have to honor. If they EVER stop racing there though. I will be forever mad!

The Winston-Salem City Council is renewing discussions about selling both Joel Coliseum, where Wake Forest University plays basketball, and Bowman Gray Stadium, where stock car races are held through the spring and summer.
The council plans to discuss its options for selling both venues at a special meeting this afternoon. Martha Wheelock, an assistant city manager, said she intends to ask the council whether city officials should move ahead with discussions about selling the venues.
"We are hoping to have some answers after this meeting," Wheelock said.
The council has been considering selling both Joel Coliseum and Bowman Gray Stadium for several years to save money. The city has lost about $850,000 a year for the last five years operating both facilities. In addition, the city spends $1.5 million annually on debt payments on both venues.
City officials said last year that Joel Coliseum was worth around $8.8 million. They have not explicitly said what their asking price may be for Bowman Gray.
Wake Forest University is the likely buyer for Joel Coliseum, and Winston-Salem State University is the likely buyer for Bowman Gray Stadium. Both have expressed interest in purchasing the respective venues.
Wake Forest pays about $660,000 a year to rent Joel Coliseum for the university's basketball games.
Winston-Salem Speedway Inc., which runs the motor sports races, pays $4,250 per race to rent Bowman Gray Stadium, according to city documents. Winston-Salem Speedway schedules about 16 races per year at the stadium.
Wheelock said that racing at Bowman Gray would be protected because a sale contract would require existing long-term leases to be honored. Winston-Salem Speedway Inc. signed a long-term lease in December with the city to hold races at Bowman Gray. The contract expires August 2031.
Wake Forest University has a similar lease agreement that expires in June of 2015.
Wake Forest athletics officials could not be reached for this story.
Gray Garrison, a racing promoter at Bowman Gray Stadium, said Winston-Salem Speedway Inc. officials believe that a possible sale of the stadium is "in the talking stages."
"I think all parties involved — the city, Winston-Salem State — realize how important racing is to the community," Garrison said. "Any time you've had a relationship with someone for 60-plus years … you're a little antsy about what's happening when things change."

Wow..Now theres a small chance my random thought could come true...WWE buys Bowman Gray...
Anyway....Dodge is entering Global Rallycross with the Dodge Dart. Travis Pastrana will be the driver:
Wetz. My answer to both of your idea of WWE buying BGS and Winston-Salem possibly selling BGS.
Hmmmmm........ about Pastrana running a Dart in Rallycross!

What's wrong with that? If the contract says there has to be races there and they fill out the rest of the year with football games, then I see no problem with that.

Jennifer Jo Cobb wil drive the #8 Truck at Martinsville. Looks like they couldn't find sponsorship for Skinner and want to keep it locked in in case, in the future, they do find sponsorship for him. JJC is still running the #10 truck with a TBA driver. The #8 truck itself is JJCR prepared, just re-numbered and using owners points from the #8.
