| Well if NASCAR claims what they say, which I doubt is gonna be true when they release the shots of the cars, is that they are gonna try to make the bumpers as close to the street versions of the cars as possible... which could cause only two type of makes to hook up and take off. Hope to god that won't happen lol, but if its anything like they did in the aerowar days then theres hope. But going on NASCAR's word ATM won't do much.
And yeah, with the old SS cars they would pretty much take off too. Maybe not the 02 cars, but I could see them taking off too. It's just gonna depend if NASCAR lets it stay here in the cup series or not, Nationwide, well it's gonna be in that series for a while.

| I'd rather see the old pack racing, from the early 2000's. But to me this tango stuff isn't as bad as we may think. To me its way more intense then any racing I've ever seen at Talladega or Daytona. The last 30 laps of that race I was on the edge of my seat for every one of them.

| Yeah, I like it and it's entertaining to me, but of course I like the pack racing better lol. But yeah, some people treat it as the devil when it really isn't that bad. | |

| As for the intensity, it's only there for me at the end of the race anymore. With the old style pack racing there was a sense of urgency and unpredictability throughout the entire race. Anything could happen at any moment.
Here it's just leapfrog for 170 laps. Somebody gets out front until they get run down by another pairing. Repeat that once every few laps and that's the entire race. Plus you can't block. If you try you'll probably get separated from your partner and get passed anyways. If anything it would probably cause a crash. I just didn't get that "edge of your seat" feel from this race. From the last 10 laps certainly. But not the entire race.

| I agree completely with Sherm. Even being there it just felt weird, Like I was waiting for the race to actually start. Of course at the end I was going crazy lol. | |

| The longer it's here, the better people are going to get at doing it. And eventually they will have the tangoing down to a science where wrecks like we saw this weekend will become minimal. I think a major factor in the field being so spread out was the 3-4 drafting rejects that you didn't want to be around. Hopefully once everyone gets the hang of things driver's confidence will come up and the packs will tighten up again.
Believe it or not, this new style of drafting probably favors the underdogs more than anyone. A car with a good motor pushing a car with a little lesser motor is a potent combination as we saw with the Mike Wallace/Joe Nemechek deal (Mike had a less that stout motor, Joe had a fresh Triad motor in his car) because with the lesser car leading, he doesn't need to drag the brake to stay hooked up. Eventually the big teams will notice that, making guys like Mike Wallace or Mike Bliss hot commodities on race weekend.

| Oh wow, I didn't know he did that lmao. That's awesome. Shows how much fun he really had with that race. (Or the finish anyways) | |

| Yeah my friend that went to the race told me. He was like, " Oh, and Jr. did a donut in pitlane." I was like WTFJR. I thought it was really funny. |
