| I personally think switching tracks would be better, dont think we're gonna have "great" racing with 2011. and we always had good racing with the old version. | |

| I don't recall any real good races with the Kentucky tracks.. If we make these changes to the 2011 version I guarantee we have better racing. Unless its CTS Physics on Kentucky the racing isn't going to be amazing anyways so lets see how these changes work and suck it up. | |

| The track is really good. It's a little bumpy for NR2003, but it adds a whole new ball game to the setup situation. As for the lines, I really couldn't tell about the high or low line. But with my line that I ran around the track, I'm in the mid to low 29's on fresh tires. | |

| I have a sorta extreme idea for the restarts that could help spread everyone out better, but it seems kinda stupid, but it's better to throw out to give you something to ponder about, too.
Instead of EVERYONE going when the leader hits the start/finish line, maybe we could go in groups of two by row, like when Row 1 hits the line they can go, row 2 does the same, ect.
Or in groups of 4 where the first two rows go, then the next two rows, ect. This will leave a little less room, but the last row would be able to keep a more manageable distance to make up, also.
Like I said, just throwing an idea out there to see what you guys think.

| The problem was pretty evident at times last night. Caleb said Lambert was never under 57-58 by the line, which is fine. It's before hand that gets everyone screwed up. Coming out of 4 atleast 2 or 3 times, we're dropping down to 52-53, back up to 60-61, down to 54-55 again, then back to around 60 coming to the line. That leads to everyone else, including the 2nd place guy, trying to keep from passing whoever is next to them or the leader and it jumbles the whole field up.
The solution is for the leader to keep a constant pass speed, not just coming to the line but from 3-4 beyond, so the others can do the same. But that seems to be a more difficult concept for some than others.

| For me and Brian and gamepad users, it's either 100% throttle or 0% throttle, so we can't really maintain a constant speed too well unless we are in high gear, where as people with pedals SHOULD have no problem, of course unless you have issues with your pedals which happens, too.
I'm not sure how many restarts (if any) Brian was leading, but if he was, that was probably the problem for him. I never like being the leader on a restart, because I can't control my speed too well and I NEVER have good restarts, even in the back of the field. It's hard for me to control a speed.

| It's not necessarily a fix for the problem, but don't most NR2003 tracks (outside of road courses) generally have the two white lines on the apron where the restart line WOULD be if it was real life? Maybe we could use that as the starting point because then the leader would dictate when to go between those two lines, and people couldn't anticipate where everyone is going and wouldn't jump, just a suggestion. | |

| That has been brought before and usually ended in a agreement that the leader will most likely go at the first line anyways and we would have the same issue.. Honestly the essential restarts last night weren't that bad, its just the fact people were still stacked on each other after a lap or so trying to get every spot they could, it's always gonna be different with the restarts depending on who the leader is, and usually we can adjust to that somewhat well, even if it wasn't a constant pace speed. | |

| Ugh, that version is so weird. I don't get like you get into a corner (3 in particular) and you get a tad bit loose, so you correct the car, and then you are horrible tight through the rest of it. And then, you can't arc the corner at all b/c you just spin out in the middle. I've tried 5 different setups already, and it all does the same thing. I'm just a bigger fan of SBP I guess. Back to the setup board for me. | |

| I vote SBP. It's a lot more stable, and it doesn't have the weird grip issue that Revamped has. | |

| If Jake, Ian, or Dan would be willing to put their server up after the retro race, we could test it out. | |

| If we don't get at least 8 people tonight, we will test instead. If we get more than 8, we will test AFTER the race. | |

| I think we need to start making Wednesdays an official test night starting at 7:00 and go until 9:00 or 10:00 or whatever. I guess for the next day, but maybe later on for the next week too or something.
I know Trois Riveries we had already setup Shawn's track, but we don't have a Bristol track yet or anything beyond I don't think. What do you guys think?
