Week 1 of Solstice Power Rankings 1. Jordan Robson is first in the power rankings as of Texas. Robson finished 2nd on Thursday night an extended his points lead to 90 points. Heading into Richmond he looks to be one of the favorites yet again. He has 3 career Solstice Richmond wins but none coming in the Proline Cup series.
2. Jake Poulin locked himself in to the chase after his 4th place finish Thursday night in Texas. The 'lobster' as some call him has 6 top 5's this season and should be a contender for the win in Richmond.
3. Austin 'Auz' Grams is 3rd in the Power Rankings, Grams took home the Motorcraft 200k victory in Texas. Auz was subbing for Solstice Racing driver Chris Wetz. Though Grams has not raced full time this season, the huge win in Texas was enough to put inside the top 3 power rankings.
4. Though SWAGCHIEF420 has not won a race this season, he has been on quite a roll as of late. Posting his 2nd top 4 finish in a row at Texas. Taylor has not been known to be a Richmond contender but with the way his season is turning around you never know what this crazy canuck can pull off.
5. Lambert had an up and down night in Fort Worth.. He led 2 laps and was inside the top 5 for the majority of the night but was involved in multiple wrecks towards the end of the race. However Lambert is still sitting 3rd in points and is enough to get him a top 5 slot in Power Rankings.
6. Adam Codol is also sitting pretty in the points, as it stands now he is 4th in the Proline points standings and is pretty much a sure lock in for the chase. However Codol didn't have the best night in Texas. Like Lambert, he ran inside the top 5 much of the day but had troubles at the end of the race. He would finish in 8th place right behind his FTR team mate Brian Wallace.
7. Brian Wallace no doubt was the dominant car of the day in Texas. He led a total of 52 of 84 laps. And get this.. He started 13th in the race. However he was snake bit on the final restart of the race and fell all the way back to 7th on the final lap. It was a bitter sweet finish for Wallace knowing he had the winning car. He plans to run next week in Richmond. Will he cash in on a win? Or will he cash in on some paybacks! We'll see come next Thursday night!
8. Chris Wetz was credited with the victory in Texas. However it took a sub to get him his first win of the season. Wetz was on a bit of a roll before Texas with a 2nd at Bristol. However not actually racing the event cost Chris in this weeks Power Rankings.
9. The Goodys Tough Luck award for the season goes to Ian Hann thus far. Hann for much of the season has ran fairly well during many of the races. However he has not had the finishes to go along with some of the great runs. However in Texas he finished a solid 6th place after having troubles early in the race and even going a lap down. Hann is not a huge fan of Richmond but we will see what the FOM team owner has to offer next week.
10. And rounding out the top 10 in Power Rankings, Nick Baker. Baker barely has the edge of Matt Emerson as Baker is 2 spots ahead of 'Mateo' in points. Baker again had a fast car in Texas but did not get the result he wanted. He qualified 3rd and was up front for the first half of the race. However it seemed the car fell off towards the later half of the event and he would wind up finishing in 9th position. He is currently one spot ahead of the bubble for the final chase spot heading in to Richmond. Can he hold on?

Richmond Dark Horse goes to...
Sgt Mateo ran very well last season in Richmond. If I recall correctly he even led a bunch of laps last season. He had a rough night in Texas but looks to rebound next week in hopes of jumping into the top 8.
