NASCAR keeps finding new ways to piss people off.

Looks like Dinger's IndyCar test was good! Hearing he will be racing at Barber, Long Beach and the Indy500. Also hearing Ryan Truex will now also race at Martinsville(as AJ will be racing at Barber) for Phoenix Racing.

Bob Varsha has been "hinting" that he might be doing commentary this year for some races on NBC Sports Network for F1 when Leigh Diffey has to do the IndyCar races! 0.0

The Westboro Baptist Church is planning a protest of an upcoming NASCAR race in response to pro-gay comments made by driver and owner Brad Keselowski. When asked last week by Queers4Gears how he would feel about a gay person on his team, his response was inclusive:

I don't know how that'll go down in Vegas, but if they tried that shit down here the fans would run their asses out of the state. Hopefully they'll do just that.

The new series name between ALMS/Grand-Am is officially the United Sports Car Racing Championship. There will be 5 Classes:
-Prototype (P) - LMP2, DP, DeltaWing
-Prototype Challenge (PC) - LMPC
GT Le Mans (GTLM) - Le Mans GT Cars
GT Daytona (GTD) - Grand-Am GT cars
GTX - Grand Am GTX cars

How does the merger affect the Continental Tire Series?

Think I lost any remaining respect for Nascar AND Darrel waltrip for defending Nascar regarding the Denny Hamlin comment. Censorship is a bad road to go down.

Looks like Nascar isn't much different than Hugo Chavez.

If I was a driver and someone stuck a microphone in my face I would just say I can't comment to every other question and watch how fast Nascar changes its tune.

Update on Denny: He an L1 compression fracture in his back. He hopes to be released today, fly back to North Carolina and be re-evaluated by Dr. Jerry Petty of Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates later this week.

No word at this time if he'll need surgery or miss any time on the track.

looks like that rumor was true. Looks like the K&N Pro Series East and the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown events at Richmond this year will not be shown on SPEED. I don't mind the Showdown not being shown on SPEED this year as there was no people in the stands which in turn doesn't really help Denny's charity. However though, I really hope they don't cut other races such as the Bristol/NHMS WMT events and the Phoenix K&N West event.
