So tomorrow the city of Birmingham will vote on if they will keep funding Barbers or not.

It's just Barber, not Barbers lol. Yeah I heard that they want to pull funding because there isn't enough black people going to the event to satisfy their numbers, which is plain stupid.

At least they got IndyCar still until 2016 and I am hearing some rumors about a stand alone USCR/IMSA date as well not counting the AMA dates. They also had a record breaking crowd on Sunday!

So @AussieGrit we'll see you in an LMP1 Porsche next year (and a further 4 after that). Excellent news!
Looks like we could see Mark Webber in FIA WEC & 24 Hours of LeMans starting next year.

Looks like SPEED will not be doing live coverage of at least 2 of the 4 races for the V8 Supercars at Austin and is showing 7 1/2 hours of pre race coverage for the All Star race instead. I can understand if it was on track coverage for the race itself. But not when it is pre race coverage and re runs of the same thing for the 1000th time. (I know it is most likely due to a current contract they have with NASCAR & NASCAR Media Group, but still). (I can also understand if they don't show Race #3 on Sunday with their contract with ARCA to show the Toldeo race. They better stream it or put those races on a channel such as FuelTV or several regional FSN channels!)

VIRgina International Raceway will be replacing CNB Bank Raceway Park's date in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. The race will now take place on August 24.

Looks like there is a new track layout for Charlotte (I think they are moving the track as it is on a standalone/Food Lion AutoFair weekend.). Bristol's layout looks good. And it looks like they are killing the part street course for X Games USA (layout screams LA Coliseum). NHMS is unchanged.

Kurt Busch will be testing a Andretti Autosport IndyCar next week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Not the first time for Kurt as he has tested a Lola B02/00 CART spec open wheel car in 2003 for Team Rahal.

Indianapolis 500 Entry List Update:
Townsend Bell has sponsorship from Turbo, the new movie by Dreamworks and is looking like he will sign with Panther Racing for the Indianapolis 500. Was trying to lock up a ride at SSM but couldn't due to Chevrolet being a partner at Dreamworks and the Turbo movie. The deal is expected to be announced this weekend.
Buddy Rice looks like he will be in a 3rd car for SSM.

Why didn't they bring back Dodgers Stadium? Personally wouldn't mind a SX event here in Charlotte again. They used to have races here at Memorial Stadium and later on the front straight at CMS in the 1990's.

So apparently according to the Charlotte Motor Speedway(no press releases or news bulletins out), Jack in the Box is returning to sponsor the Summer Shootout Series and will have TV once again on FOX Sports South on the Monday's after the race at 6PM(check local listings).
