NHRA has approved the use of a canopy for the Top Fuel cars this weekend in Brainerd. Tony Schumacher will be the first car to use it in competition.

I'm sure it's not that big of a difference. The cockpit area is already really small on these cars and the windscreen covers a big part of that area anyways. If it made that much of a difference the NHRA would never allow it.

Well if some teams have it and some teams don't, it would be interesting to find out if it really does make any difference.

SuperGT Qualifying is on right now, in GT300 Q1. There is a stream up. Race is going to be on around 11PM EST tomorrow. Also got ARCA, FIA GT1 and DTM racing this weekend. Speed51 will be doing live updates from Bowman Gray Stadium and Montgomery Motor Speedway tomorrow/tonight. Bowman Gray has there final race of the season, the Carolina Farm Credit 150 and Montgomery has the Show Me The Money Pro Late Models running! Oswego Speedway(NY) will have there track championship night tomorrow!

Casey Stoner just had a bad crash at Indy.

Also..Hector Barbera had 3 fractured vertebra in his back...This is how the Indianapolis safety crew handled him.

Ben Spies and Nicky Hayden crash hard in MotoGP qualifying....At this rate I would not be surprised if the race is cancelled. Looks like 3 injuries, not sure how spies are, but it looks like Casey Stoner's ankle is broken at the least.
