This BTCC round at Silverstone is the 2nd to last of the year. Gordon Shedden has a 3 point lead over Matt Neal. They are both teammates in the YUASA Honda's. Jason Plato is 3rd in points in the MG 32 points out.

I talked to Bernie Marcus (Ford's lead aero engineer) in a live chat thing they did on Facebook today. Here's what I asked him and what he said back.
Q: Has NASCAR talked about adding a wicker to the roof like they did in the 2001-2002 SS aero package? A: No, not at this point. Q: Is the shark fin going to be a for sure thing in 2013, or is NASCAR thinking about removing it? A: Yes it is .... but ... it is less visible because it is most likely to be made of a see-through plastic material. So you shouldn't notice it quite as much. Q: I have also heard that the cars that are running in the test today do not have sheet metal like they will in the regular season. Is this true? A: Half true ... so if you made a bet, it would be a push! Some of the cars have sheet metal parts and some do not.

BTCC has gone completely insane. Chris James seemed to lose brakes...Andy Neate down the track punts indepenadants points leader off trak..SC comes out..as Jordan is standing in the sand trap waiting to throw something at Neate, Tony Gilham spun off into the sand.

Halfway, Mat Jackson has taken the lead from Plato. Daniel Welch 6th in the Proton. But Dave Newsham is coming the old S-2000 spec Vauxhall. The NGTC cars start flying later in the tyre run.
