| Great Clips to cut back on Cup sponsorship for next season: In an announcement from Great Clips, they announced that they will cut back spending on sponsorship for the #9 NBMotorsports team for next season. They plan to sponsor one race next season as that will be the Daytona 500.
There are rumors that other major NBM sponsors will cut back sponsorship, also. No word on those sponsors, but announcements are expected soon.

| Baker misses last lap wrecks to get 11th at Dega: After being involved in a wreck that happened with less than 10 to go, Baker hoped that he could avoid the rest of the wrecks that might ensue afterwards. After restarting 17th, Baker struggled to keep with the draft as his damage was to severe to gain speed. He missed all of the wrecks on the last lap but still didn't get a top 10.
"I was disappointed about finishing 11th rather than getting a top 10, but it happens and you move on. We kinda got screwed with all of the pit stops we had to make, hopefully next season the fuel cells will allow for more gas, that was kind of rediculous, but we caught a lucky break with a caution towards the end of the race. I don't know what happened, but somehow I got swallowed up into a wreck and that ruined the rest of my night, but that's Talladega for you. Looking forward to next week!"

| Baker unpleasant with Texas race: After being disqualified for the first time in his career, Baker spoke to the media and said one thing and walked away. "Fuck Texas"
Apparently he has some issues with Texas for some reason.

| Baker ready for Richmond: After a catastrophic day at Texas Motor Speedway, Nick Baker looks to rebound with a good race at Richmond International Raceway to make the chase. In his career at RIR, Baker has a few poles and quite a few top 5's. "I look at Richmond as a big race, because we need to finish good there, I think we are solidly in the chase, but I am currently in a streak of bad finishes, I'd like to get out of that. I think we have some testing to do, we've struggled most of the season with our setups, I think there was one race that I can say I was happy with and that was Dover when it seemed like we had a very strong car, but we had some bad luck in that race, too. Hopefully I can get out of Richmond with at least a top 7, that's my goal, anything better than that will be a bonus. I've put Texas behind me and hopefully I can use the lessons I learned from there and use them and never have that happen again."
Baker will be in the #9 Great Clips Dodge Charger at Richmond.

| Dollar General, Rexall pick up majority sponsorship for Baker: Dollar General and NBMotorsports announced that the current NBM sponsor will pick up a majority of the races next season in Proline as Baker will try to make the chase and try for the championship. In addition to Dollar General, Rexall will also sponsor Baker in a few races. Valvoline will continue their sponsorship with NBM by running select races here and there. Great Clips will sponsor Baker for the third Daytona 500 in a row.
"It's good to get all of the sponsorship deals out of the way before the chase, so that now we can focus on racing and try to get the championship. A good race at Richmond will be key to get into the chase, but I think we are okay as long as we make the race and finish in the top 10."

| Baker misses chase, but looks at the bright side: After a 10th place showing at Richmond, Baker ended the race in a tie with Matt Emerson for the final chase spot. The spot was given to Emerson due to having a higher starting average, even though Baker has a better average finish. "It happens, but hey, now I can go for wins and looking at the schedule, most of the tracks we run are my favorites. I love racing at Darlington while both Charlotte and Atlanta are also in the chase along with Rockingham! Now I can focus less on points and focus more on wins. Right now, I just need to figure out how to make and edit setups for tracks. Once I do that, we can get better and go for the wins based on having the best car, if not, run hard at the end and try to win that way, too." | |

| Rumors have NBM dropping out of Proline next season; Nick Baker not dropping?: Rumors around the Solstice garage are saying that NBMotorsports won't be around next season for Proline and that Nick Baker will leave for another team. No teams were mentioned in the rumor, but Baker has worked with quite a few people before. Baker declined any comments after the race, but that's not shocking considering the frustrating night he had on the track. | |

| Current plans have Baker skipping Martinsville, maybe more: As of Friday afternoon, Nick Baker said he is planning on skipping Martinsville to let the Chase guys not have to worry about him being in the way or screwing up their nights like he felt he did at Darlington. "Last night was a tough race, I was driving someone else's car to help them out for the night and had higher expectations on myself than I normally do. I felt like I let him down, but hopefully he understands. I feel like I'm lacking a lot in this series and I haven't felt competitive at all this season except maybe one or two races. Right now my team and I have to regroup and focus on a little at a time and try again next season. I currently have a few offers to drive for other guys, but I told them that I have no idea if I will be racing Proline next season, because I don't like this feeling of being in the way and ruining people's races. I think that after a couple weeks of sitting down, thinking about what I should do, and deciding what my plans our, in racing and in life, then I can let them know what I want to do. Right now I feel like the Proline Series is not where I should be, I'll just stick to the lower series and regroup there and try again later. Hopefully I'll get things figured out here soon."
Baker declined to mention the offers he's had, but says that the teams are working around his current issues and he appreciates all the advice and help they've given him.

| Nick Baker making the move over to FOM next season: It was announced that Nick Baker will become the 3rd driver for Ian Hann's Flat-Out Motorsports in the #9 Dollar General Chevrolet Impala. Baker will bring over his insight and experience to FOM and will try to help Ian and Matt Emerson as much as he can to try to clinch three chase spots next year en route to go for the championship. "The first goal is to make the Chase with all three cars, but picking up some wins will be nice, also. I'm glad that Ian has taken me in considering how bad I have struggled this season, but it's time to regroup and try to get better as a driver and get better to help those guys out. NBMotorsports will go on a hiatus for now, but we will keep our chassis available for purchase or to help out FOM if they need it." | |

| Taylors reaction to news:
"Well, I don't know what I'm going to do now. NBM was where I got all my resources, but now he's gone AWOL. Im hoping we can work something out." Taylor confirmed Speed Energy would stay on board next year but hinted to a possible new sponsor. "We've been talking to someone for a while pretty seriously. I'm hoping we can get it done soon." |

| Taylor has meeting with Baker:
After a meeting with Nick Baker this afternoon, Taylor talked to the press. "Me and Nick had a good conversation about the future. We basically decided on 2 options. The first option is that I would run NBM and use the equipment to field my entry. The second option is to shop around my services for a team. I'm hoping that I can land with a team but I will keep you posted. Thank You." |

| Baker to run a Bobby Cox, Atlanta Braves tribute at Atlanta: Nick Baker announced that he would be running a Bobby Cox tribute scheme at Atlanta to honor Bobby and his addition to the Atlanta Braves' HOF and will use the #6 for the race if permission is granted. Bobby Cox was a long time manager of the Atlanta Braves and led them to 14 straight National League Division wins and the 1995 World Series championship. Cox retired after the 2010 season where the Braves made the playoffs for the first time in 5 years but fell short of moving to the 2nd round.
"Bobby Cox has been one of my childhood heroes and running a scheme for him is awesome! I've been a huge Braves fan since I was born, I watched pretty much every game last year and was upset about them not going very far in the playoffs. Hopefully I can get permission to run the #6 for the race as that was Bobby's number for the Braves. Atlanta is a special track for me, it's my home track. I would do anything to get a win there, hopefully soon it will happen! That's one of the tracks that I haven't won at and I would love to win there!"

| Baker hopes for good run at Charlotte: In the Solstice Proline Series, Nick Baker has two wins to his credit so far. His first win in the series came in season 1 at Charlotte Motor Speedway when a pit strategy to pit one lap later than the rest of the field gave him just enough gas to get himself to the finish line to earn his first win at the track. "I figured we didn't have anything to lose to pit again and get a little more gas. It ended up working out because we never had a caution, I didn't know it was going to end up like that, so I really lucked out to get that one. Ian (Hann) and I were racing very hard towards the end of the race and he ran out of gas while I just rolled on and won the race, it was just one of those races!"
Baker says that he hopes that he can get a good run and pull off at least a top 5 to make something of a season where he's missed the chase and has struggled mightily.

| Dollar General/Rexall cut back sponsorship for next season, Stanley/DeWalt pick up: Dollar General announced that they, along with Rexall, will cut back on their sponsorship for Baker next season. Stanley Tools announced that they, along with DeWalt, will fill in the races that DG has dropped next season.
"It's good to have sponsors that will immediately back you up when something happens like they guys at Stanley Tools have since the beginning. They sponsored me in my racing debut and have been with me ever since. Glad that they jumped on the races after Dollar General had to pull some of their races."

| Baker expects to run full race at the Glen: Despite the continuous struggles for Nick Baker this season in Proline, Nick Baker says he has plans to run the full race at Watkins Glen this week. Baker says he knows it will be a struggle, but he knows he needs to learn road courses and needs to get as much experience on them as he can for the future. "Road courses have been an extreme struggle for me throughout my career and hopefully one day I can change that, but right now I need to do everything I can to get better at them in any way possible. I'll do my best to stay out of the way of the Chase guys, but I can't just keep deciding not to race, it's not good for me and I know that. If I can get through the race with a top 10 if there are plenty of people then I'll be happy with my efforts. If I don't finish last out of the people who don't get a DNF, then I can at least be happy with that."
Baker says he hopes to have at least a solid race without any trouble. He hopes to stay on course and not have any issues, if he can do that then he'll be happy with the effort.
